I filled for my colombian wife after we got married on July 20th by court and church, I finally got my NOA 2.

I need help on the rest of the steps, I know now I have to deal with NVC and I hear stories about cases being denied, I've been to Colombia to see her 5 times this year and our marriage is great, we have pictures, hotel receipts, Western Union receipts, what can I expect now?

Do I have to be in Colombia for her interview at the embassy?

PLEASE HELP ME!!! My email address is: patricioxrosas@gmail.com

THANK YOU!

shortcuts NVC

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

prosus, as NArocks mentioned - study the LingChe Shortcut.

But - remember - consider this as 'your bible' for the next 45 days - learn all of it, study it much. There's a lot of detail there... I suggest mapping it out on paper, with pencil, first, just so you have deep understanding of the process and flow.

Also, your processing can be viewed as 'payment portal' driven - have a read here, as well - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3560467

If you decide to use online payment processing for her casefile, it's really useful to know 'where you are' to prep for that next step.

GOOD LUCK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

Ok so NVC is not a huge unknown... remember that package you created for the I130... well you have to put together a similar package for NVC. In addition to that you have to prove income and also the forms are different.

Start by filling out your DS-230 form and paying the AOS fill bill

READ the instructions Carefully... attach exactly what they are asking for - take your time, ask questions here if you have them but DONT send your package incomplete. That will cause you delays and heartache.

Cheers!

James

While you are not required to be at the interview, I would recommend that you do. NVC is not that bad. Start by filling out the DS230 and paying the fees online. Hopefully you'll have your interview by February or March of 2010.

Good luck
