Aw, thanks. I am! Can't wait to see him. It's been SIX MONTHS OF HELL. Wouldn't it be something if we got good news while I was over there? Jeez, if we get bad news, that sure will be a wet blanket, won't it? I just won't think about that possibility. :dead:

Hi there,

I just wanted to say hello and maybe offer some encouragement to anyone out there waiting. I went through this waiting "HELL" (there's no other word for it) three years ago but things got resolved in the end, and I moved with my then husband from Ireland to the U.S.

I had been denied on a charge of 'misrepresentation'. We were apart (for about a year) and were lucky enough to have the means for my husband to visit me often. At the time I thought this was the absolute worst possible thing that could happen to us, and even though I tried to keep a positive attitude it, put a strain on us both. I know many of you will be experiencing the same thing, and possibly doubting the relationship, because you haven't seen each other for a long time. At the risk of sounding 'preachy' this actually wasn't the worst thing that could happen to us. Last December my wonderful husband died — and that really was the worst thing. I suppose what I'm trying to say is this: Hang in there. This too will pass, and you will be reunited with your loved one. Hold on to the fact that even though this is horrid, you're healthy and together, and still a team, and bizarrely in the long run, this whole ordeal actually strengthens your relationship.

I really really hope you all hear good news soon.

Thank you, Wanda. I am truly sorry for your loss. Were you able to stay after your husband's passing, or did you return to Ireland? One of my worst fears is that something will happen to one of us - at this point, my husband couldn't even attend my funeral. I know him well, and I'm not sure how he'd move past it. If something should happen to him, I think I'd lose my mind. I don't know how I could find the strength to go on.

To have found love, real love, and to then have so much of that precious time wasted by the immigration process....it's just cruel. I'm very, very sorry.

If you wouldn't mind me asking, did the CO in Dublin tell you that you were charged with misrep at the visa interview, or did you only find that out by way of London? I ask because we were never actually told why my husband was denied. We "assume" it's the 28-yr. old CIMT, but we just don't know, and since we weren't given any official paper stating the reasons he was denied, we are very nervous. We included a misrep defense on the 601 form, and maybe that wasn't smart, because maybe they hadn't even decided to charge him with it. But we felt it was only honorable to include it. I have always been an honest person, and I will not let this process or any other budge me from that path.

I have not seen my husband in 6 months. But my loyalty and love for him are strong. We keep telling each other that if we can survive both the death of his 19-yr. old daughter (in 2007) and this immigration process, there is NOTHING that's going to bring us down.

:thumbs:Well Congratulations to Graeco

As you are all aware by now the USCIS have decided to try and pack as much in to March as possible, so even though the update today was April 1st they are still claiming March 31st, anyway I do not care what day they call the updates as long as they keep them coming thick and fast or maybe it was an April fools joke  ..

Today we were all suprised by yet another update, I was out shopping at the time when I saw the flurry of emails coming in to my mobile phone, this is why I am a bit late to update VJ... anyway I have updated the spreadsheet already > I-601 Status Spreadsheet 1st April and have the following 4 changes to report: :wow:

1 case went from Pending to Under Review

1 case went from Under Review to Completed (Well done Graeco & Approved)

2 cases went from Pending to completed in 34 days and 54 days (Hope for JustJ yet) (F)

Anyway it seems that either USCIS are trying to clear as many cases as they can before the end of March 2010, I just hope that they continue this level of movement of our cases in to April onwards as this would be real progress.

And thanks to all those people whom contribute to this post.. it makes it good for everyone involved in this process.. I guess I can now rest for the next 4 days from my spreadsheet duties as I doubt USCIS will work over the Easter holiday.

Take care all.

I wonder if Graeco is packing!

I think we MUST be getting close to moving to "under review." I expect to be there a while, though, because I'm certain they are going to want records of the crimes and nobody thus far seems to understand that there just aren't any. My husband was honest and listed everything, but Ireland only recently became computerized, and the matter is complicated by the fact that many records were destroyed by a courthouse fire many years ago. We do have a certified letter from the court clerk stating no records can be obtained, but you just never know if that will be sufficient.

I expect a delay - why not - we've been delayed at every turn so far. I'd hate to break our pattern.

Lets hope they can continue the level of case movements that they achieved during the last few days of March, I will be out for most of the day (Tuesday) but I will check in on my mobile from time to time to check if any changes occur.

Anyway I hope everyone enjoyed there Easter and lets look forward to lots of movement and good news all round
