That UK test scared me for sure. Will deal with that when the time comes. I got a 46% on that and just guessed on almost every question. I don't need to know most that stuff for life in the UK, as I spent a year there already, and was clueless.

Maybe you'd know this Nigel. I was told that when we return to the UK, in 3-5ish years after my husband gets dual citizenship, will my husband have to take the life in the UK test in order to regain health coverage or something like that? I don't know how that works.

Noooooo ....Once a UK Citizen allways UKC....He be covered by the NHS as a UKC Unless he wants to go Private and pay a fee to a private Hospital.

which some folk do and most Don't....it depends if you want a op asap then going private is the only way....a bit like paying in the us.

Other than that, the NHS is not the greatest service but the nurses and docs do a great job even though there so much under funded.....but at least you don't get a whopping Bill in the post several days later.....like my wife last year had a car wreck went to A&E there for 4 hrs few x rays a chat with the doc.....wk later had a bill for $4500 .....i was like #######.....lucky we had Family insurance, but still we had to pay out of pocket something like $500

Crazy over here with health insurance.....they run the country....it's a big Racket here..

You as the spouse would have to take that life test, but not for medical cover tho...

Ive got a great website forum you can join, and i think it be up you and hubby's street, it's got a lot to offer as advise from people from uk/usa ect

here you Go below...Enjoy

Thank you very much for all your help! I've been part of this forum for over 2 years and I'm still clueless. Next I have to learn about ROC but I have a year for that yet.

I know. Terrible way to live, isn't it? No security, no emotional support (other than the fine people here!)...

The list changed again - no movement, though, other than to add a Finnish waiver to the "pending" list.

Married 2008

-------------------------------------------------------------------

5/21/09 - filed I-130

12/7/09 - Interview (denied for 28 yr old CIMT); filed waiver same day

6/18/10 - I-601 Waiver Denied, added misrep for checking wrong box on landing card (lifetime ban)

7/16/10 - AAO Appeal filed.

8/31/12 - AAO appeal sustained (THANK YOU, GOD FOR YOUR MERCY)

10/8/12 - USCIS sent file to Consulate

11/28/12 - Visa in hand

12/10/12 - HERE AT LAST! (ALL GLORY TO GOD!)

It's impossible to "not" think about it. I'm sure they'd be thinking about it too if they were in our shoes.

In some ways, things are betting knowing that we're at least on the list. I don't have the urge to check it every five minutes. But in other ways, it's increased my stress, as this is the "end of the road" for us. I won't be able to appeal, and nearly went broke on legal fees just to get us this far.

All you can do is just try to stay sane and keep looking forward. Pick a date in the next couple of months and look toward it. If something happens in the meantime, so much the better. It's the only way I can function.

The London list will be updated on Monday 8th March - so don't drive yourself all mad by checking it every 20 minutes... :)

I got an email from the Embassy today telling me i'll be on it, at last...

I watch it with the expression of a cat in a litter pan.

Congrats on making it - it feels good to be on there, but it's also nerve-wracking because you know it's "do or die" time.

Yes its good to be on the list.We decided too that we wont appeal its too expensive our plan B is for me and the kids to go and live in london and somehow after making peace with that i feel a weight off my shoulders,im even looking out for schools and thinking of what to sell and give away for when/if we go.If our waiver is accepted Praise God,if not praise him still for having a plan B ,an alternative ,i wont let this waiver thing control my life,I have to take control...whatever will be will be..

jnurse68.....what was the reason for the waiver? was it something to do with a overstay or something like that and he never told them?

Hello everyone, I'm new on here and in the same boat as you all. I was really impressed by this posters advance info on the updates, My London lawyer doesn't even have this.. way to Go ! please keep us enlightened when you can so that we dont have to drive ourselves mad checking the list every day. The last change on 8th March moved nobody up from pending to under review but did delete all of the completed cases (and added a few more pending) implying that another batch is ready to move on up soon, hopefully end of this week. Possibly wishful thinking but we must keep our spirits up right !

C2C, I want to say "welcome," but it sounds pathetic, considering why we're all here. So I guess I'll just say that I'm sorry you're among us.

I have noticed that the list changes on either a Friday or a Monday. There've been no new completed cases in a month now. There was a short burst of energy in February, maybe from a sugar high due to lots of Valentine's chocolates, but nothing since.

Have you made it to the list yet? When was your interview?

Fill out your timeline if you get a chance - it really helps others going through this.

Hang in there.

Hi JustJ, thank you for your welcome and encouraging words, it says a lot about you who is going thru so much herself to be able to do that. Its comforting to know others are going thru the same waiting game. I had my K1 interview last November and due to an entry refusal(for an overstay) I had to file an I-212. I didn't get on the list until Feb 8 and have been alternately very pleased and freaked out at my position on the list until I realised that these are listed and looked at in no particular order, and are routinely moved up or down. Some say these lists are unreliable and will drive you even madder, but I think the USCIS in London get them done and are good compared to the rest of the world. You are spot-on about the days and I'm hoping tomorrow will change again and I will see my number out of the 'pending' stage. My case is pretty straightforward (famous last words) compared to a lot that I see on these forums so I wish you all the best of luck and speedy satisfactory conclusions (F)
