 Your "Call of Duty" side is showing...:rofl:

True, Call of Duty or my latest game Battlefield "Bad Company 2"... I think they should make a new one called Call of Duty USCIS or Bust.. with the idea of applying for a visa, but then when you get refused you break out the weapons and shoot all those who opposed your application, maybe even strap some time bombs to the adjudicators so they have to complete the applications within a reasonable timescale or BOOM !!:P:D

Well I can only dream... shame I am a peaceful chap.

this is now the record, for the longest time between updates.

Well here, here, I think a round of applause is in order for the new record set by the USCIS :dancing: I refuse to let them get me down this weekend  - So I shall lift my glass and drink a toast to them (when I'm off work, that is) and look forward to a new week... The other night the fortune in my fortune cookie read: Big changes are coming soon I like the sound of that...

Have a great time - enjoy the last 2 weekends of spring!! Let's hope summer will reunite all of us with our loved ones!!

I'm taking a letter opener to my own eyeball after all of that. Good grief!

My town has one zip code and is so small that the last time I went to Ireland, my mail had a note on it that said "she's in Ireland" and I didn't even tell the postmaster! LOL. Everybody knows where everybody lives.

Let's just hope my package gets there, eh!

it could have been worse

Gosh, your town sounds like somewhere out of 'Murder, She Wrote' (and I mean that in a good way!) Don't forget though, that London has almost 8 million of us living here...those are just the 'inner' London postcodes, there's yet more of them :P :P :P

:ot2: I really can't believe that you've not had an update for so long now...it's just so frustrating! Here's hoping the next update is not only very soon, but there's good news for you all

well come the 4th july will be my 2nd anniversary and then will be moved from cr1 to ir1 which is one good thing that has come out of this so one less lot of money for the uscis...

I hear that. We may have the same thing going on if he isn't here by October 4th. Less fees & less paperwork are defintely two things to celebrate.

I'm starting to pinch my pennies for another trip to see my husband. If I can make it to August, I will have seen him 18 out of 539 days. Crazy, isn't it? I distinctly remember hearing the Good Reverend say, "What God has joined together, let no man put asunder."

I spent the entire day writing. Unfortunately, it took me longer than I expected due to the research necessary to actually write a sailing scene about the 12th Century. So I didn't get into any gory battles scenes, darn it. Just some scary stuff about repairing a leaking clinker-built ship at sea. Oddly enough, I didn't have to research anything about the fear that grips a man on board a sinking ship. Those emotions, for some strange reason, came very naturally to me. :P

Amen.

And hugs for you (F)

I hope that you get to see him very soon - preferably in the US!! We're still too far off the 2 year mark, but if it ever did come that close when I finally received my visa, I probably would choose to stay here for a few more weeks so that it'd become the IR-1. Operative word being choose of course. Huge difference between choosing to do something and being forced!!

Thank you for the hugs.

As for the IR-1 vs CR-1 decision, I probably wouldn't wait even a month. I know that sounds really foolish, but at this point, each day is precious. My mom (a widow) and I were just talking about this. I said to her, "Mom, would you pay $1,000 to have Dad back for a month?" Of course, the answer is yes. Sometimes, time together is way more precious than costs.

Just my dumb way of looking at things.

Fresh week coming up, folks! Here's praying for God's blessing upon us all.

It's not a dumb way of looking at things JustJ... I feel the same. Unless you were talking just a matter of days to change to an IR-1 I would not want Andrew to wait either. We've spent so much time apart already - lost so many days making our new life together. I'd rather go through the last process living together ~ wouldn't that be something different!!

Here's to a new week - thank you for the blessings...let's hope someone hears us this week!!

Take care (L)

Oh I wouldn't do it because I was trying to save money - I'd only do it to save the headache of having to remove conditions two years later, and only then if it were a wait of a fortnight or so. At every step of the way we've been delayed inexplicably, and now this AP business (16 weeks today :crying: ), so I dread to think what'll happen next

It's the start of a new week - hopefully the embassy will finally issue an update and you'll all hear some good news

Wow, that is amazing "The 4th of July" and all the American's celebrate your wedding day every year... Wow and I thought it had some sort of more deeper, meaningful, historical significance :P

Well it is now 2:15pm and it is looking unlikely that we will be updated today folks... I hope I am wrong as I would have put down today (Monday) as being the best chance of an update this week seeing as it will have been 19 days now since the last I-601 Update.

I do not know what to do with myself... No Job & No updates which means no number crunching or Spreadsheet work.. :help:

If we do not get updated today then I guess they will leave it until Wednesday and make it a straight 3 weeks or 21 days or this Friday to really piss us all off, and I certainly hope after all this time waiting they do not just change the date on the update and nothing else. I would expect lots of changes to have occurred as they have had nearly 3 weeks since the last one.

I will let you know if any changes happen

Take Care
