#######!

Just used my entire freaking lunch hour to go to the post office and the woman there couldn't get the )(*&)(#*&$)(*& postal code entered, so I couldn't send it.

This is crazy.

Maybe if it's the express address they can't receive packages from USPS? I price everything on usps.com and I think you can pay for the label and print it yourself, not sure.

Good luck everyone!

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

I have a question.

Did they request any additional evidence? I just went through this thread and couldn't see where they did.....

I know a bit about the waiver process but certainly am no expert. I've never heard of sending additional evidence. Because I'm the nervous sort  I am wondering if this is wise. Have you read of this being done by others? Is there some reason to think what you sent over wasn't strong enough to begin with.

Just wondering........

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

I think you can send additional evidence right up until the case is adjudicated. My congressman's office called & said that I needed knee surgery, and I guess "someone" told them that I should get the additional evidence in.

Have they talked about this on immigrate2us?

You know that old saying "the more you stir $hit, the more it stinks?" I guess that's where my head is at in wondering if it's a good idea to send more evidence.

I really have no idea, so I'm not implying you are wrong. Was just wondering what your basis of research was.

Heeheehee. I have heard that expression.

I thought it might be worth it since I quoted in my original HSL that I was concerned that my knee issues would flare given the work I had to do w/o my husband here to help me. I also quoted resources regarding delays abroad for orthopedic treatment. Since I have now found out my fears have been realized, and I require surgery, I thought it might worthwhile to send it. They can chuck it out if they want.

I think you might be right. I will try the address they list for mail from INSIDE the US & see if they like that better. Thanks!

Heeheehee.

I thought it might be worth it. I found out I need knee surgery.

I think that the stonger you make your case the better chance you have, in your case Julie I would say send what you can to justify the Extreme Hardship case, but do not send in anything that could be used against you like any information about old crimes that have been lost etc etc.. it is up to the USCIS to find out all that by searching and asking for comments.. never offer anything.

Take care

Andrew

I research and read everything I can regarding immigration between US and UK.

I've been following this thread and cheering for you all for months. I'm sure there are a lot other people that do the same. :luv:

Hi

Well I guess the USCIS did not go for the even money favorite day of Wednesday to update, nor did they surprise us with a Thursday update? this only leaves us with Friday (tomorrow) which was the outsider bet at 5-1..

I certainly hope the USCIS give us an update tomorrow and a damn good update this time around, as they have made us all wait 16 days so far since the last update on Wednesday 26th May 2010 which has made their average completed cases drop to 1.2 cases per week on average.

In the past 9 Months since I have kept records, they have never made us wait longer than 14 days for an update to be published and when they did publish 13 - 14 days later it was normally to add new cases rather than complete any, only one time did they wait 14 days and complete 3.. lets hope that by breaking their 14 day update maximum rule for a 16 day update one that they also include quite a few completed cases this time round. :bonk: That is assuming that they update us at all this week. :crying:

Anyway I will be out and about tomorrow so I may not be able to update you on here if there is an update, so keep checking just in case I am indisposed.

Good luck everyone..

Jewel, thanks for your cheers!! We need 'em!

I like seeing new faces here, too. I like the old ones as well, but I wish a few of them would get approved so we'd have something to be happy about!

If anybody's lurking, please don't feel like you don't have anything to offer the thread. Honestly, it's nice to hear from everybody. The "cheering on" is helpful to me, personally, and I'm sure it is to others as well.

Part of the reason I started this thread is because there was no post-waiver "comradery" out there. We all had our buddies through the I-130 process, then the NVC, then the interview threads. And now? Well, our buddies (most of them anyhow) are enjoying the Spring with their loved ones, leaving us the ugly girls at the dance.

The more, the merrier! I just hope it doesn't mean you share our misfortune.

Johnny, get this - I went a SECOND time to the post office with my package. The guy said I can't mail Express to the APO address. OMG, can you say SHOOT ME? I was going to head back to the office & print the web site for the postmaster to see, but then I thought, nah, maybe it's a sign from God that I'm just not supposed to send this evidence today.

Andrew, I'm only sending 4 pages - new medical records to add evidence to a previously detailed section of my original HSL. I really think that our 2 cases are clogging everything up. There must be some extra checks or something going on, since our situations are so similar.

I don't know how much it costs these days, but when we were going through the process MANY years ago we used Fed-Ex for all the international correspondence. The most we ever paid was $31.

Johnny, that's my next step. Either them or DHL. Never had a problem sending ANYTHING to Dublin, but this has been a real hassle!
