In Elin's case, she can walk away with 50-100 million +....Big difference from Jerry trash...

Try more like $500,000,000 to $1,000,000,000+ and yes, that's more than your average Jerry trash.

My question remains though... why does she have any more incentive than any other Jerry trash to walk away? If it's truly "not about the money" then it shouldn't matter how much she stands to gain - only that she can keep her family together. It's obvious she wasn't happy when she found out, but was she not happy because she just lost her meal ticket and exacerbated the situation, was she not happy because she knows he's worth a lot more in the long run as a husband, or was she upset that he was a bad husband and father?

I'd guess it's a combination of all of the above, but I still stick with the story that the whole reason America is so enthused with this case is because it makes "them" more like "us" and we're dying for any excuse we can find to make it look like our messed-up lives are OK.

Well brother, my life is nothing like his and I rarely comment from the tabloids. Unlike Tiger, I work for a valuable cause, am dedicated to my wife and child, while trying to make ends meet. I do make upper middle class money, but we struggle sometimes.... I would never cheat on my wife, as that is not only immoral, but a deal breaker. At the end of the day, money does not matter. It's about integrity. That is good for analyzation.

I don't know how one repairs such damage in a relationship, it's one thing to find out your mate has slept with one person but to find out he was taking endless opportunities would leave the damaged spouse wondering if they ever knew their mate to begin with.

I do feel for Tiger because he is fairly young and this meltdown might have given him perspective he never had before.

He seems to come from a decent family and I believe he will learn a painful lesson about integrity and it's value.

He fecked up, plain and simple. Will he recover? Of course....This is America.....

I'd much rather know my spouse was having extra-marital sex with many partners all over the world than with one person here at home.

I find it odd that folks are always saying, "well, if they did it once I could forgive them" like it wasn't that big of a deal. Banging an old divorcee from the hotel bar in Des Moines as you were passing through on business isn't a big deal. Having a "partner" is huge, especially when they live in the same community as you.

Men like Tiger, who travel for business and have insane amounts of disposable cash, often cheat on their wives. But, then again, often their wives are giving them the green light to do so by allowing them to travel around the world on business while they stay home and do whatever they want. It's a business arrangement, nothing more. If they really cared about their family they'd either have the husband stay home and/or accompany him. Eventually they'd work toward a sustainable lifestyle where they wouldn't have to be separated.

And before you start going on about all that "she should be able to trust her husband" #######, why don't you analyze the status of their arrangement and what it's based on.

Life and popularity will never be the same for Tiger, and I doubt that his endorsements will recover either. One affair would have been forgivable, but it does appear that he has a problem that is not attractive to consumers (who happen to be mostly women), and that lowers his appeal in the market place where most of his fortune has been made. Yet, this is America 2009, and the meltdown of our moral core is sorely underestimated, so he may make a complete recovery after all.

If I was an advertiser I'd keep Woods on and re-caption the commercial with something like, "Because he's the best golfer in the world, dammit."

If I was Tiger, I'd release a statement to all my sponsors (or ex-sponsors)

"I'm already a billionaire. Thanks."

Tiger, O Tiger.

You should have hired some of the ex-Secret Service men that used to work for Clinton...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
