He should have no problem repairing anything.

He has enough money to spend 24/7 with his wife and kids at Disney World if they so desire. If he's made the choice to retire today and never go back, that's unfortunate from a golf standpoint, but even with infidelity or transgressions, there's really no better life for a successful family than to be able to have unlimited time together and unlimited resources.

I think the whole "ordeal" over this is the Jerry Springer aspect - we all feel better now knowing that even guys like Tiger Woods aren't perfect. We're so preoccupied with trying to find dirt on anyone and everyone that once we finally do, we can let out a collective sigh knowing that we're not as bad as we thought we were because even Tiger makes mistakes sometimes.

Actually, for the 60 seconds I decided to pay attention to it, I was dissapointed.

Yeah, I try to keep my mouth shut when it comes to situations like this, because I am angered far more by public reaction to the incident than the incident itself.

There's a self-perpetuating culture of building our heroes up, then tearing them down at the first chink in their armor. Woods is being branded as a pariah right now, and yet if he were to die tomorrow, everyone would be reveling in their "newfound grief" over him. It really doesn't matter WHAT the indiscretion is -- it could be anything from an affair to tax evasion to weight gain to throwing a cell phone in public -- but people are always there to REVEL in it. To me, such things are worthy of a raised eyebrow and a muttered, "Wow, interesting...", but in mainstream pop culture, they're almost equal to atrocities like rape or murder.

God. It nauseates me.

If his wife agreed to swinging, there wouldn't be any problems of infedility.

she probably does now, using a 2 iron upside his head!

With infidelity at the core, to the tune of numerous encounters?

Dude, this is not Jerry Springer, but real life by "respectable" people. Well, educated and intelligent, yet shortsighted anyway. Springer foists morons on his show.....

A single "indiscretion" by a celeb or anyone else may be forgivable, but in Tigers case it appears to be a lifestyle......

Money does not buy respect or integrity.

Tell that to Kobe's wife.

Also, are you saying a regular old Jerry Springer-watchin wife has the same incentive to forgive her husband for a lifestyle of infidelity as Mrs. Woods? I mean, she's paid either way (kids) but clearly it's better to stay together in the long run.

I think it's a good message that family is more important than money.

His American father would not have approved but I think his Thai mom does approve.

In Elin's case, she can walk away with 50-100 million +....Big difference from Jerry trash...

Try more like $500,000,000 to $1,000,000,000+ and yes, that's more than your average Jerry trash.

My question remains though... why does she have any more incentive than any other Jerry trash to walk away? If it's truly "not about the money" then it shouldn't matter how much she stands to gain - only that she can keep her family together. It's obvious she wasn't happy when she found out, but was she not happy because she just lost her meal ticket and exacerbated the situation, was she not happy because she knows he's worth a lot more in the long run as a husband, or was she upset that he was a bad husband and father?

I'd guess it's a combination of all of the above, but I still stick with the story that the whole reason America is so enthused with this case is because it makes "them" more like "us" and we're dying for any excuse we can find to make it look like our messed-up lives are OK.

Well brother, my life is nothing like his and I rarely comment from the tabloids. Unlike Tiger, I work for a valuable cause, am dedicated to my wife and child, while trying to make ends meet. I do make upper middle class money, but we struggle sometimes.... I would never cheat on my wife, as that is not only immoral, but a deal breaker. At the end of the day, money does not matter. It's about integrity. That is good for analyzation.

I don't know how one repairs such damage in a relationship, it's one thing to find out your mate has slept with one person but to find out he was taking endless opportunities would leave the damaged spouse wondering if they ever knew their mate to begin with.

I do feel for Tiger because he is fairly young and this meltdown might have given him perspective he never had before.

He seems to come from a decent family and I believe he will learn a painful lesson about integrity and it's value.
