On TFC via satelite, my wife and I have seen a commercial for a company advertising round trip flights to the RP, for near unbelievable prices for this time of year. We have only seen the commercial maybe 2 times and have been watching for it but keep missing it. Has anyone seen this commercial? and do you have the phone number?

The prices advertised are probablly not including taxes, but thought I would try to follow up with a phone call.

Thanks,

Wyatt

It's probably the old bait and switch game, and I am sure it does not include taxes

I have taken numerous flights within PI, and I always see PAL or CebuAir offering "Special Rate" from Manila to Cebu for like 599 pesos, but when you go to book at the malls it all of a sudden is around 4,000 peso.

Its about a 30 second commercial, I think it quoted $699.00 round trip from LAX which is somewhat believable because I have seen EVA Air run a similar special, off peak. I fly out of Houston TX, but sometimes buy my tickets seperate if its cheaper and I want to hang out in the connecting city for a couple days. We are still waiting on my wifes Green card, but will be making a trip when it arrives.

Hahaha...Yap I fell for that one too, once before. I found the best way is to book online through PAL or CEBU pacific. PAL's website is easy, CEBU Pac. works maybe half the time. I have also found if you are traveling from Manila to anywhere else PAL seems to always be cheaper. If you are in the Visayas or Mind. traveling to Manila CEBU Pacific seems to be cheaper. I got a special credit card with a very small charge limit just for booking flights within the RP, because I book online on some sketchy unsecure servers and am always worried about my information getting stolen.

Flight prices change hourly, and is based on peak flying periods.

My wife purchased tickets roundtrip from Dallas to Manilla a few months ago, she paid total 1,000 bucks.

She checked the same flight a few days later it was down to mid $800, Same trip today is close to $2,000.

For me my average ticket I have paid total is round $1,700, I have made 3 trips to PI.

When my wife came to USA last year, I paid 1k for a one way to DFW, the one way was cheaper than a Roundtrip in her case.

have you tried www.asaptickets.com? I'm trying to get more info from them. They say all taxes are included. Worth a shot. I also look on www.bt-store.com and www.ticketconsolidator.com. those are the ones I have been looking at.

If and when you find a cheap ticket, PM the site.

I am planning a trip to PI in February

im going to try and call them next week. I did put a contact me deal in there and see if they email me. 870 R/T from fairbanks is really good if i can get it for that. BT-store is about 1100. I am assuming that i would be on some crazy flights to get that 870...i figure it is worth a shot. I am going in feb also.

Yeah, www.asaptickets.com is a bait and switch. The first page says that it includes all taxes. Then when you put an itinerary in, there is a disclaimer that says that is before taxes..... The cheapest ticket I have found so far is on www.bt-store.com. They list their prices before and after taxes.
