I'm convinced it's a conspiracy, led by the scores of Candadian PRs who work for the post office - they see your papers, get mad they couldn't make it into the USA (d@mmit, we're stuck in Canada, its too f'ing cold! ) then just throw it in, anyway they want.

I TOTALLY know you're joking, but...

I find it amazing how many Americans believe that Canada is so much colder than the U.S. I'd venture to guess that about half of the states have similarly cold weather during the winter months as Canadian cities... In the ballpark at least.

I'm too lazy to delve into the statistics though. :P

these are current temps...

there is a big chunk of Canada that is colder then in the US (besides Alaska) but other then that the weather is somewhat comparable to the Northern US...

The majority of Americans that think that live in the southern states. They just don't understand the geographical lack of difference.
