Dec. 8, 2009 - Check cashed/cleared

Dec. 9, 2009 - NOA1 receipt date

Dec. 11, 2009 - NOA1 hardcopy received thru mail

Mar. 11, 2010 - Touched

Mar. 11, 2010 - NOA2 Approved

Congratulations!!!

Great...I sent our I-130 early more than urs but u got approved and i m still waiting

i dont know whats going on and there is no RFE yet or touched or update

WHY!!!

I feel the same way as you watching people who began their process ie mailing out the petition, after we got NOA1 and getting NOA2 BEFORE us !!! I'm happy for those people but it's a tad frustrating to watch. What can you do. You guys are Dec filers and I'm Jan.

My wife called USCIS yesterday but was met by the automated system etc and we already know the status lol...pending !!

Anyway, when you look at people's posts over time you'll see exactly the same issues raised by many and these folks finally got approval. I 'm holding out for March approval but sooner is better than later given the lengthy process. I feel your pain....

I got an RFE via text message and email today from USCIS.

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On March 20, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

I called USCIS customer service to inquire about the nature of RFE and specifics of the same, in order to prepare in advance for the evidence.

The customer service rep mentioned that she doesn't have any access to my case in detail and hence can't comment on the nature of RFE.

She mentioned that I would get notice in mail from 15 days of the notice date(March 20th,2010).

Should I wait for 2-3 days to receive the notice via USPS mail or have Info Pass appointment and visit local USICS office?

The reason for me being apprehensive is that while I was going through process of acquiring Citizenship, USPS never delivered the letters of exam appointment twice.

I never got the exam interview letter and at third attempt, I got exam appointment letter via visiting local USCIS office only.

For this reason only, I was late in getting citizenship by 3-4 months.

I don't want to take chance this time for my I-130 petition getting delayed for lost of mail via USPS.

ROC Journey:-

05.15.2012 -- mail I-751 packet

05.17.2012 -- Packet arrived @ VSC

05.18.2012 -- Check Cashed

05.18.2012 -- NOA1 dated xx.xx.2012

06.09.2012 -- Biometric notice received

06.27.2012 -- Biometrics Taken

01.31.2013 -- Card Production Ordered.

02.17.2013 -- 10 Year Green Card Received

Thanks for the help.

They will send the details of the next step to him, but to speed up the process it's best to call. Recieving all the forms via email is much faster than waiting for them to post things out to you.

If you call them and the case number has been assigned you can get started with this straight away, rather than waiting.

Yep, you need to speak to the operator.

When they have your email addresses they'll send all the packets to them, rather than via snail mail, it will speed the process up a lot.

I'd wait until they send the forms before emailing the DS-3032, I had issues when I sent mine early.
