Be prepared for a bit of a wait to get through to them, sometimes they can be pretty busy.

Congrats!! You should consider creating your VJ timeline.

You might have to wait up to 5-6 months till you can call in but some people have to go through that.

Cases are approved at different rates, we can not change it, all we can do is try to be patient and calm.

Just think about the outcome at the end of this process.

i think we sent I-130 11.28.2009 it is almost the same with you

we got receipt number i dont know if u call it NO1 12.04.2009 it is the same too

As you see everything is the same that we did as you have done so why i should wait up to 5-6 months

i checked the timelines of the other people that in the same position as me but i did not see they wait that long i dont know why me and you also did not wait that long

Sorry if i compare everything i just wonder why we did not get anything yet from the USCIS

G-325A i was mistake in the date of our marriage i m turkish so we put date d/m/y but in the form i have to write it m/d/y so is that problem or is that reason we still keep waiting???

We received our NOA1 on Dec 14th and still no touches, no RFEs and no NOA2 either.

I even check USCIS site everyday to see the status and its still same "Initial Review".

you should start getting antsy by April..I see in your timeline that there is a short amount of time between you met/engage/married hope you have sent some proof of your wedding perhaps that is what is making you not get quickqly the approval..one of this day the US Citizen may give a call to check if everything is correct..hang on there

I have sent our marriage certificate along with the application.

Regarding our meeting and engagement date, I dont think that we have been mentioned anywhere in the application.

Would that would be a reason still, if thats not mentioned on the application about our first meeting and engagement?

We have mentioned the entire timeline on VJ only.

How can I reach operator on USCIS phone number 800-375-5283?

Everytime I have called the number, I have never got any option for talking to operator?

Ok.

I called the USCIS number and got an operator (for the first time)

I asked her the reason why our I-130 is not approved and if something can be done from my side to speed up the process.

She mentioned that "there are variety of reasons" why my case is still pending and decision is not yet reached. She mentioned that I can't do anything as this point (other than to wait and watch).

Gosh, This waiting time is killing us.

At this point I wouldn't send anything in to USCIS and I would wait to see if they issue you an RFE. If so, then send them what they require. You've already sent in your I 130 petition. Many have been granted NOA1 with very little 'evidencce', others have been asked to submit additional information/evidence or correct/amend a form etc.
