I-129f Originals

Ok .. here is what i can't seem to figure out exactly .. the guide says ~

2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

Now what is the documentary proof ? This must include any proof sent that we had met in the last two years IE- plane tickets, pictures, ring reciept ect ect ... but does this also include the applicants birth cert. and divorce papers .. Our letters of intent ? Just want to be sure to get it right the first time ! Thx

A CO may ask to see originals for *every* copied document they have.

Depending on the embassy and the person doing the interview, they may ask for originals of all documents that you have submitted. They do have the right to ask and you are required to be able to provide them.

I have made sure that my fiancee has the originals of everything that has been submitted. Including pictures, birth certificate, divorce papers, even down to supporting documents. I gave her a the exact same petition package with original signatures on all documents.

The only thing she will get a copy of is the IMBRA RFE as I had to send the original back. Every other piece of paper she has is original. Cant be too safe in my opinion.

Ok Thx .. i had a feeling that we needed everything .. better safe then sorry is right ! I'm sure glad i got a copy of the IMBRA RFE as i was visiting when it came in the mail ..

Provide originals of the I-129F documents is sort of confusing to me. Since most things in the I-129F I sent are "copies" to begin with: eMails, e-Receipts, etc. I can supply the original boarding passes and some hotel bills, but really not too many originals in this age of electronic-information. I guess I have to hope the few "originals" I have are enough.

Of course you cant provide original of emails, and certain other documents used for evidence.

I just made sure that any emails I printed out were included in the info I gave fiancee. Ticket stubs, etc you can send her the originals for her interview. Really doubt they will want to see that type of thing however originals of official documents is what they may ask for.
