How about 1/2 baby per family??

In theory the idea isn't a bad one. From the pollution point of view, the nations that pollute the most due to its citizens' (us!) overconsumption should drastically limit their contribution to future generations of consumers unless we come up with a way of continuing our near gluttonous pattern of consuming way more than what we need without generating the amount of pollution we put out.

whoa whoa whoa. Hold on there sport. We're talking about China and India. No way the U.S. should be beholden to any sort of idea.

:P

Why are the guilty almost always convinced they're innocent?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

This is America, we're innocent until proven guilty, and even then, it's subject to appeal.

I got a kick out of this story this morning..... of course I was wondering if it was even translated into the languages that needed to hear it most or do the countries which already have a neg fertility rate just get this prompting?

I like how that whole article was about following China's lead.

China - the most populous place on the earth. They're setting the standard, that's for sure!

By far, the best thing to come out of this Climate Change Summit, or whatever the hell they're calling this waste of international tax payers' money is the free sex. That's just awesome! Plus, they could learn something about population control from those ladies. They've done their part to murder millions of kids daily... by catching them on their chest and faces!

slim, you been watching too much porn again.

follow china's lead in responsibility with regard to carbon footprint? china is an ecological wasteland compared to America. i'v lived there and seen it firsthand. china has less than 300 million people living in industrialised urban settings. most of them live ralph cramden style in unheated apartments with no car and no luxuries. still china manages to make more pollution than an equal number of people in the US.
