Passport return/Visa issue - Do I panic?

I just got through my interview and they're issuing my k1 visa... Jon and I were planning on spending Christmas with his mother, and I'm supposed to be flying on the 21st - do I need to worry about getting it in time? Reading these threads about the courier has me spooked and I was born to worry.

I like to burn things.

Congratulations on your approval! :dance:

I had my interview Monday 7th Dec and received my passport back on Wednesday 9th Dec @3pm!

I think they're pretty good at getting it back to you within the 5 working days as long as they do not require additional info or have a holiday backlog. [Someone please correct me if I am wrong]

Your I-129f was approved in 138 days from your NOA1 date. [4months 2 weeks and 2days!]

29/04/09: I129f Sent.

07/12/09: Interview - Approved!!

24/01/10: POE George Bush Intl Houston - Exactly one year since I saw Travis.

Married 15/04/2010

AOS & EAD

09-06-2010. AoS Packet w/EAD sent with DS-3025.

16-06-2010. NOA1 x2 Received.

09-07-2010. Biometrics Apt.

12-07-2010. Case Transferred to CSC.

21-07-2010. Case Received by CSC.

27-07-2010. Touched~

28-07-2010. Touched.

11-08-2010. EAD Card production ordered

20/10/2010. AoS approved!

28/10/2010. Green Card received! Wooop. :)

Same here, 3 business days. My fiance interviewed last Friday, and got the visa yesterday, Wednesday. So yeah, I concur that if you didn't have any extra documents to send in afterward, 10 days should be more than enough time. (but I was super worried too ;) as we have a ticket for the 15th, so I know how you feel.)

Packet 3 @ Embassy : 2009-11-06 (yay! only one more step, come on interview date!)

Interview Result: Approved!! Yaaaaaaaaay!!

Date of Us Entry: 2009-12-15
