Hey guys. my wife and step daughter (k1/k2) need an affidavit of my neighbor (the neighbor does not live with me). Which one is he suppose to fill out? I-864 or the I-864a?

I-864... I-864A only if they are a part of your household

YMMV

You, as the petitioner (sponsor) must complete an I-864.

Any additional sponsors will fill out an I-864A if they are part of your household or an I-864 if they are not part of your household.

So which one does my neighbor fill out?

You file Form I-864. Your neighbor, who is the joint sponsor, files a second I-864. Read the instructions.
