I called the nvc regarding my mother's F4 petition.i am a derivative beneficiary.now above 21years of age.

i was surprised to know that my name and record does not at all exist with them...the operator told me that there is no one with my name on the case and that they can't do anything about it.

BUT when the NVC contacted my aunt in 2005 when i was only 18 my name was there on that piece of paper below the heading of TRAVELLING APPLICANTS. please tell me why are they telling me that my name isn't there at all with them...

the operator also told that since now i am above 21 my name can't be added..but there is no issue of my name being added on the case since it was already there when the NVC contacted my aunty when they received the case in 2005 for the 1st time and when a case number was assigned to my mother's case at that time also my name was there...

can anything be done to let them know that they are mistaken by not being able to find my name in the case...MY NAME WAS MENTIONED ON THE LETTER THAT THE NVC SENT IN 2005 TO MY AUNT WHEN A CASE NUMBER WAS ASSIGNED TO MY MOTHER'S CASE UNDER THE NAME "TRAVELLING APPLICANTS" TOGETHER WITH MY MOM,DAD AND ELDER SISTER..

please somebody urgently help me...

thanks..

I'll suggest to you , that you've 'aged out' , over 21.

But it's a suggestion..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

There is no case for you at the NVC. There is a case for your parent, the beneficiary. You are listed as a derivative beneficiary in your parent's case. Only the petitioner, the beneficiary, and their authorized attorneys (G-28 filed) can inquire about the case.

This is the same (correct) answer you got over at the other board.

Also the fact that those folks answering the phones at the NVC have limited information available to them about cases.

as i had discussed earlier my name wasnt there when i contacted the nvc but when i went to the nvc fee payment site it shows the name of me along with my parents...actually my name wasnt there on the online payment site also..only my mother's name and father's name was there but today when i saw the payment site it showed my name along with my parents..and the column showed that "NOT PAID" for the ds-230 fees...

its a pleasant surprise but now a question has arised in my mind...since it shows on the online payment site that the fee has not been paid instead of "NOT INVOICED", should i go forward and pay the fees??or should i wait for the IV fee bills to be generated first and sent to us via email and then pay the fees?? your help will be really appreciated...i am very happy that now my name is ther on the fee bills..please advice me on what to do next

thanks for the help in advance

If you can pay it online, then do that. Contact the US Embassy to see if your parent's case is already there. Perhaps they can tell you whether to send your DS-230 to them or the NVC.
