Ice in your drink

Am I the only one that finds it odd to ice your drink when it's 23 degrees?

ETA: It may be 23 degrees outside, but I'm not drinking anything outside. I'm drinking inside. It's 70 inside B)

Unless you move to Greece. It was "out of season" in the winter and near impossible to find. And I had a friend who tried to order iced tea in Boston in the winter and was told it wasn't in season.

No and No. When it gets cold I drink glögg. Nothing beats a mug filled with warm, spiced red wine with a splash (or two) of rum in it in front of the fireplace when it's cold outside.

1. no--we like to avoid icing drinks (unless it is absolutely necessary for chilling the drink) for two reasons:
   • restaurants can (and do) "stiff" on the quantity of drink by putting much ice
   • when the ice melts, it dilutes the drink

Yeah, I was at the store the other day and of course there is snow on the ground outside and its under 30. And my husband (from Argentina) saw that they were selling ice and said to me, "why on earth would anyone sell ice? Just put snow in your drink." Haha.

no i hate ice in my soda. i leave them in the fridge and drink them cold. i hate it when i go somewhere and they put half the cup with ice and half with soda, pisses me off.

no problem with ice in water, though, but i prefer to drink water that's in the fridge than use ice.

it's an american thing this icing obsession. in brazil when they bring you soda or water it's cold already
