k3 visa for iranian wife

hello to all. i am trying to help my friend bring his wife here to the USA from iran on a k3 visa. they were married in nicosia, cyprus. when they were at the consulate an employee told my friend that if he gets a k3 for his wife that since she is from iran she will no be able to visit iran until she receives green card. they were told that ther are restrictions for k3 from iran. i cant find any info to back this up, but my friend is very worried as his wife needs to make a trip back to iran a month or so after she arrives in america. can someone please clear this up?

If she needs to make a trip back to Iran or so after she arrives, how do you know when that will be as it could take a couple years just to get the visa?

Dont know about coming on a k-3 but my husband came on a K-1, we married here and a few weeks after he received his AP he returned to Iran for six weeks with no problem.
