Well we filed removal of conditions in October and we now have the 10 yr greencard in our hands... easy and no prob. Just gathering the money was the only issue. Thanks to all the advice and info on Visa journey we did it all right. thks.

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

06/30/11 .. Package Delivered to Dallas Lockbox

07/06/11 .. Received e-mail notification of application acceptance

07/06/11 .. Check cashed

07/08/11 .. Received NOA letter

07/29/11 .. Received text/e-mail for biometrics notice

08/03/11 .. Received Biometrics letter - scheduled for 8/24/11

08/04/11 .. Walk-in finger prints done.

08/08/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Placed in line for interview scheduling

09/12/11 .. Received Yellow letter dated 9/7/11

09/13/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Interview scheduled

09/16/11 .. Received interview letter

10/19/11 .. Interview - PASSED

10/20/11 .. Received text/email: Oath scheduled

10/22/11 .. Received OATH letter

Congrats to both of you! :dance::dance: Really happy all went smoothly and you both don't have to worry about immigration paperwork anymore! :thumbs:

Does he have any plans to do citizenship next year? My husband is thinking about doing it, but not fully decided. Anyway he can think about it for years even, if he wants! However if he gets citizenship then he can get an OCI card for India - then he can go between USA and India for as long as he wants, with no visa hassles and no time limits. :whistle:

Yes for sure. He will do the citizenship next year. Already looked at some test prep questions. I will force him to study..lol... I want that for him. If we ever get on our feet with jobs etc.. WE want to travel easy in the future and that will help.. take care.
