I have a completed case at the NVC as of Nov. 24th and I spoke to them last night. Once your case is completed it will be mailed to the US Embassy/Consulate in Nigeria. And the NVC will send you an email or a letter (depends on your method of contact on your file) with you interview date. Then you can go to the NVC website (immigrantvisas.state.gov) and click on the link for the "Interview Preparation". In that section there will be another link for the "Medical Examination" with instructions. Your husband must present his approval letter to the clinic to get an appointment. The appointment will be in two parts (One for lab work and the other for a physical). So I recommend getting the appointment as soon as you can. I think the results are good for a few months but I am not positive. I hope this helps!

You can give it a try. But i know that the hospital will request for the interview letter from the embassy before they will attend to you.
