Did they keep your passport, or did they said something like, "we'll forward your med result to the embassy?" because if they keep your passport , that means you can proceed and pass your interview and have the operation later. However, if the doctor said you have to get the operation first before you can have your interview, then either St. Lukes will reschedule your interview at USEM, or you call USEM to have your interview reschedule after you have fully recovered from that surgery.

Good luck!

One of the reason of not passing the medical exams is having a contagious disease. Having a cyst is not one of them.So in my opinion, as long as there was no advice from the St Luke's to the contrary then you can proceed to attend the interview and just undergo the operation later. You will know you passed the medical exams coz they gave you the vaccine shots(should you opt to have it done here) and either they take your passport and tell you they will forward it with the medical results to the embassy or they will return the passport to you and the sealed medical results.

I read a post here that an applicant was undergoing chemotheraphy at that time she went for a medical exams, she passed her medical exams, attended the interview and got approved.

Good luck!!

yea..they took all , my passport,

they said they will be the one to forward it to the US embassy...

and they gave me may vaccination sheet and a CD of St. lukes..i think thats an X-ray...the lady at the releasing counter told me that i will bring the CD and that sheet on the day of my interview...

and on the 2nd day of my medical.. which is the vaccination they injected me 4 vaccines,

TT,HPV,Varicella and MMR ...

when i went home..all i have is the CD and the vaccine sheet(the vaccine sheet was explained to me that imma get those following dozes when i get to US coz i still have 2 more dosez left on HPV)...

You passed in your medical and St. Lukes is just telling about cyst that you have so you can undergo medication or operation. Don't worry there will no effect in your interview at US Embassy. Good luck to your interview. God bless!
