I just received my Oath letter today scheduled for next Wednesday 03/17 at 2 pm in Callowhill. Do you know if I can take family members with me? I'm so excited.

Congrats :) I think as a general rule, family members can attend

Family member are allowed, but they will be waiting for some parts of the ceremony in a waiting room and other parts will be able to join. It depends also on the size of the room where the oath takes place.

Congratulations

Just returned from the interview at USCIS office in San Francisco. I passed the test. The whole thing took about 30 minutes or so.

The officer said I'd receive a letter with the date for the oath and ceremony. There'll be one in March and April but she wouldn't know which one I'd go to.

Yaay... one more last step and I'm done :)

I took my husband to Callowhill with me and there were people there with other family members, the room is not that big. I suppose it depends how many guests you want to take?

Ok, so I have been stalking this site for almost 5 years now. I really should have been contributing I know, so slap my wrist. Ouch! Not that hard! LOL ANYWAY, this site has been an invaluble tool for me as I have been doing all my own paperwork. So a quick thank you to all of you who have been good members and been contributing.

I just passed my interview on 03/09/10 and am awaiting my oath letter. I am recieving my naturalization based on marrige (3 yr requirement), and will hopefully get my Oath Date soon.

My info is as follows (if anywone wants to add it to the matrix already started). I couldn't get it to work properly on my computer.

Sent 12/27/2009 Check Cashed 01/05/10 NOA 01/08/10 Finger 01/27/10 Int Letter 02/12/10 Interview 03/09/10 Oath-TBD Office San Bernardino, CA

My Interview went very smoothly, luckily. I was asked to bring 3 years of tax paperwork, and even made sure i filed my taxes the day before my interview just to be sure I had the records up to date for them. I waited 2 full hours to have my interview. Watching CNN in the waiting room. (Thought I was going to kill myself because of the terrible "NEWS" they were reporting on). When I was finally called in for my interview, I had the usual swearing that I answered everything honestly schpeal. He asked for my Green Card and Drivers Licence.

The agent then had me read one english sentence and write one. I think I read: How many Senators are there? And had to write: There are one hundred Senators.

I was then asked my 6 questions

1) What was a war fought in the 1800's?

2) What are the two parts of congress?

3) What was the Emancepation Proclamation

4) What is the supreme law of the land?

5) What year was the constitutuin written

6) Who did the US fight in WWII

He then had me sign my paperwork again (I had forgotten to sign my middle name), and asked if I had any questions. I asked him about the letter I recieved about my Taxes, and he said that he had already looked it up. I said Ok and he said that I would recieve my Oath Letter in about 90 days! I was shocked at how long it would take after reading about everyone else's experiences here.

I was then walked out and congratulated. Now the wait begins.

Thanks again everyone for sharing your experiences. I really TRULY appreciate it! Best of luck to those of you still waiting to have your interview!

Cheers!
