I have read here and on other web-pages about being a member of CCP and what to do before the interview. I am looking for someone (besides big mama story) that has actually got a BLUE SLIP because of CCP when trying to get a k1 visa. I am also, wondering if anyone has been through the "WHOLE CCP PROCESS" and actually received a k1 visa? if so, would you please share your experience and time-frame. Thank you.

We had a good friend who also married an American. She went for her interview earlier this year and was blue slipped. It's my understanding that being a party member is pretty much an automatic blue slip. That being said, the over-come process seems to be easy - it just takes time for additional processing.

For our friend she needed to write an explanation letter giving her past status in the CCP, and get a letter indicating that she's no longer a member.

Hello, thanks for the reply.... we actually had a letter at the interview stating that she only joined CCP because her professor stated it would help her get a better job after graduating. It stated that she never participated in any actions, or paid any dues and never had a job before the interview, etc. but we still got a BLUE SLIP about CCP. Can you tell me what your friend had to do to get the letter stating she was no longer a CCP member? Thanks for the help.

Currently they are in America and we are in China - so it'll take some time to get that information for you. I've contacted them, and am waiting for a reply.

What did your blue slip say? Did they request any additional documents or action on your part? If not, it seems like all you can do is wait for the additional processing to complete (background check).

The BLUE SLIP box that was marked stated: 221g Lacking Documents/Further Processing... Then he gave Qian another paper that had three boxes marked:

1) RESUME- provide a detailed resume (in both Chinese and English) from the applicant(s) listed below, including all professional and educational history. Include a complete list of all of your employers, all specific job responsibilities and projects, and any publications you have written.

4) CCP- Provide a written statement from current/past employers verifying the person listed below does not belong to the Chinese Communist Party.

5) Submit a statement, written by the person listed below, in both Chinese and English that includes the information requested below (A through H):

a) Name of the Communist or other totalitarian party to which he/she belong or belonged.

B) Reason for joining

c) Dates of membership

d) Any offices held

e) Why he/she remained a member

f) Any education or standard of living benefits gained by membership

g) Degree to which he/she accepts(ed) the structure, goals, methods, and practices of the party

h) If he/she terminated the association, the date of termination and reasons for terminating

The questions were answered in the paper work (background history) before the interview and also in the CCP statement that Qianqian had written for the interview. Qianqian said the interviewer read the statement and kept it after the interview. I am not sure why he gave us this paper and these question? If you talk to your friend can you see if she was asked the same question.

The icon is because if you use b and ) next to each other it is shorthand for the icon B). Stinks that the USA, supposed "land of the free and home of the brave" automatically denies people due to their political affiliations. Shows that we are just as biased and "totalitarian" as any other regime.

Not saying anything about your case but just on the USA govt. and hypocrisy. "THINK AS WE DO OR STAY OUT" is the message we send... not "be a free thinker."

moving right along

this rule is not about what you think. it is about what you do. the stated goal of communism in America is the replacement of our current government with a communist regime. would you welcome me for dinner to your home if you knew i was intending to throw you out at ten oclock and call your house my own?

I'm sorry that it has taken me this long to get a reply from her. This is what she told me. Every company (if it is legitimate) has CCP representation known as, 党支部. This is who your wife will need to go to get this letter. Our friend said that she went in to her CCP reps office and explained her situation and they were able to provide the letter specified on her blue sheet.

Wow, that sounds to easy!!! I have been reading that it is a major deal when going into a CCP office. I've heard they try to keep you as a member and it's a major interrogation about why your quitting. Qian is not working for any company right now so that proves to be a problem (for talking to a CCP representative), unless you are saying that she could just walk into a company and ask for the CCP representative, is that what you are saying???

Did your friend say how long it took to get the letter and how did she receive it, by mail or did she pickup, etc. Thanks.

She didn't say anything about a lot of questions, but I assume that there were a few. No, she did not say how long it took. I'm not saying that you should just walk into any company and ask for this letter。 A company‘s 党支部specifically works with people of that company. I've heard that some smaller companies actually share an office with another company. This is all that I know on the subject - and will probably be all the help I can offer. Anything more than this would be speculation on my part; my wife was not a CCP member so we were able to avoid this headache. Hope this helps

My fiance is going for her interview 12-28-09 and she is a CCP member, we have all of the same things you had, she has a letter both in english and chinese, she has a copy of the question, she has a answer sheet to all of these questions, all of which she will give to the interviewer, the only thing she doesn't have is a letter from the CCP. She doesn't have that because she doesn't want to cause problems within her job, and most people in China don't tell there boses they are leaving to go to the USA untill they know for sure they got there visa. Even the papers sent in #4 tell them not to quit their job so my fiance is going to tell the interviewer that it would cost her maybe her job, if not it would be very degrading and possible some kind of bad treatment threw out the company, as she has a very good job for the goverment, so she really can't quite the CCP untill she get her pink slip. So it is a well known fact that most stay quite untill the last moment. This CCP thing is nothing, but why they make it a big deal I will never know. I have read that some even get pink, even though they have this ccp on the forms. I am hoping for the best.

Klye, thanks for the help
