I'm the wife of an American Soldier;

I'm the hope that lives within him after storm clouded days.

The freedom from war that gives wings to his heart,

May they reach across the miles and bind our hearts together

Sorry to hear about your friend GC. Call USCIS

simple, click this site from the USCIS

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...000082ca60aRCRD

EAD is useless or at least it doesnt matter since she already has a GC... GC lets u work and travel abroad w/ the assurance of being able to return to the US (just be aware of the restrictions and rules)

i lost my GC and yes i am the person they're talking about... foxy and D were just concern about me also and thanks mga bru...

good luck!

edit to add: i just read it there that one should file for I-90 cost $290 plus $80 for biometrics... i will file for that once i get back from phil also...

great question!!!

i emailed the embassy (perhaps we exchanged 20 emails lol coz i was paranoid) but here's their reply on what to do:

In response to your inquiry, three weeks before your flight date to the U.S., report to our customer service window, Window 35, U.S. Embassy, Manila, and apply for a boarding/transportation letter. The boarding letter will allow you to return to the U.S. without a green card. When reporting to Window 35, bring with you your passport, any ID's issued in the U.S., i.e., drivers license, state ID, etc., a big brown envelope, two U.S. passport-sized pictures, affidavit of loss of green card, police report of the loss of green card, certification of arrival into the Philippines from the airline office, and if available, boarding pass, baggage claim and/ot unused ticket. The processing of the boarding letter takes 10 days. The window is open Mondays to Fridays, except holidays, between the hours of 0800 and 1200. Service is on first-come-first-serve basis. You may apply for a boarding letter when you get to the U.S.

take note i need to go back again after 10 days or at least perhaps before my flight to get my transpo letter in person... cost me a lot of money coz im here in CDO...

I wonder how long it will take for this replacement? Is it the same as applying for the first time (for the processing time)? She's sad coz she needs to stop looking for work because of what happened.
