Hi,

I called NVC today because our case completed on Nov 19th and we received the email stating our interview date of Jan 21, 2010. I remember reading something that had said that after the case completed that the documents could be tracked from nvc to the embassy through a tracking number to know when the documents left the nvc and arrived in the embassy and in order to do this call the nvc and ask for the tracking number for them. I called today because the email we got with the interview date did not give a tracking number but said that the case had been forwarded to the embassy, the lady on the phone however said that the case has not been forwarded as of yet but it is scheduled to be forwarded and that it does have that interview date set. She also informed there is no tracking for the documents once the are sent from nvc so there is no way for me to find out when they arrive to embassy. My concern is that they have original documents that are not able to be replaced if they are lost ..... Anyone know for sure if they can be tracked?

This is what i had found on it before but the lady i spoke to said no??? The recording right now is still saying that the case completed on such and such date... its not saying anything about interview or being forwarded though the email that i received last week does..

How to track your valuable originals?

Listen to NVC's AVR message, it will clearly say “Your case is completed and forwarded to the embassy or consulate in XXX on MM/DD/YYYY…” Once you hear this message, immediately go to DHL Tracking by Reference and track your shipment.

For example, if NVC's AVR says your shipment date is 06/05/2008, NVC actually called DHL one day before this date to pick up the shipment. So your reference date is 06/04/2008. Then enter EXP 04 JUN 2008A as your reference in the above DHL website. Then scroll down to your consulate link.
