Hello to all

I am new to this board

i have a fiancé living in Peru. she has a daughter we have filed for our k-1 90 fiancé visa .

What i would like to know is what will we need to bring her daughter to the USA.

The father is not in the picture and has not been for the past 3.5 years of the Childs 4 years

my fiancé does not know where the father is or how to find him.

Thank you for all you help in advance

As long as the daughter was listed on the I-129F then after the petition is approved and the case file is at the Lima consulate.. your fiancee will submit two visa applications (one for her and one for the daughter)... the big question is how will the consulate view the non-custodial parent's "rights". An e-mail to the consulate explaining your situation would be best because you need guidance specific to Peru...

It's actually true for most countries. If the father's name appears in the child's birth certificate then you need to find out from Peru's authorities what kind of permission slip will be needed to let the child leave the country. In Colombia the DAS (Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad) requests the notarized permission slip, so it's up to them to decide what is needed to let the child travel. I'm sure Peru has a similar entity who's in charge of these type of requests. You can start calling travel agencies in Peru, airlines or an international airport in Peru directly to find out what they need to see to let a child leave the country.
