(Don't bring cellfone or other electronic gadgets. Otherwise you will have to leave it to the vendors outside and you have to pay them P100.)

My schedule is 8:30am... I arrived 6:40am.

It's just in time to get seated with other applicants scheduled at 8:30am.

Then a few minutes later the 8:30 applicants stand in line to get a number.

During this time be prepared to bring out the interview appointment letter. Hand them over the papers and they will give you your number.

You will seat and wait for your number to be shown on the electronic board. Be alert. It's not in any particular order. But as for me I waited about 1&1/2 hour.

When your number is shown, it has a corresponding window where you will go. It's either you go to the pre screener or the finger printing. I was assigned to the finger printing. Then I stand in line again, they will get your number. And you should rub your hands as if your heating them so that it will be moist and easier to be scanned. And then they return the number and you will go back to your seat and wait again for your number to be shown on the board.

I waited for about 2 minutes and my number is shown again. This time to the pre screener. I have prepared all my documents in three separate flexible plastic organizers so that it will fit on the window. ( window is about 2 inch by 12 inch) and it has a downward curve. One of my folders contained all the proof of relationship (pics, emails, chatlogs, greeting cards, letters etc. ) That is the only one the pre screener asked for.

The pre screener also asked me several questions. (how we met, when, who petitioned my wife, what's her job, how long she's been in the US, asked me if i've ever been out of the country and why...). They will forward the documets to the consul. And then go back to your seat and wait again for your number to be shown on the board.

I sat but my number was immediately shown on the board. And then I sat outside the interview room and waited for the previous applicant to finish before i get in. When I got in, the consul asked me almost the same questions. but this time it took me around 5 minutes. And then he said congratulations your visa is approved. Pls go back to your seat and wait for the number and they will give further instructions.

When i sat, my number was already showing again. so i went to the corresponding window and they just said pay the Express Mail so that the Passport will be sent directly to your home. I signed it and paid P205. So i expect to receive it 3 to 5 days since i live in manila. I got out around 9:30am.

:) I'm very happy and I'm still in the mood to celebrate hehe :D. I hope this helps. And also pls ask if you have any other questions. Thank You.

Congratulations! Do you need to organize the photos in the album or prefer not in the album? Thanks.

It's okay, if the album can pass the small window. it's only 2 x 12 inches with a downward curve. You will push your documents down that slot and the pre screener will grab and pull it from the other side.

Some of the other vjer's suggested to paste 2 pics per typewriting and put captions. Around 20 pics is good enough. I think that is a good suggeston. The consuls and pre screeners will like it.

(Don't bring cellfone or other electronic gadgets. Otherwise you will have to leave it to the vendors outside and you have to pay them P100.)

{Edited}

When I landed in JFK on Nov. 1 on the passport check line there was a big guy in the line yakking on his cell phone.

Security shouted at him in a menacing way to put it away and he didn't get them at first but finally complied.

If you've seen any recent movie/tv movie about Iraq you will note how easy it is to set off a remote bomb by

someone holding a cell phone a few meters away.

Mabuhey!
