How much pasalubong/gifts that you bring for your family?

We're planning to have a vacation in the Philippines by next year..I want to bring some pasalubong or gifts like chocolates,toys,shoes and some clothes to my family..But the thing is,i'm not sure how much or how many items I can bring home...I dont want to have any trouble or problem when we got to the aiport anywhere and question us about the pasalubong/gifts...You think it's posibble to do that?Has anyone here did the same thing like I'm planning to do?

Load up what you can in your luggage and carry on. If you go over the weight amount you will have to pay extra for luggage.

My wife just went back with all kinds of chocolates, make up, clothes, Mickey Mouse dolls, Oakley Sunglasses for her friends and family back in PI.

we brought 2 boxes (20x20x20 size) full of clothes (new and old), chocolates, old computer etc. not a problem... though one custom officer did ask me whats in the box, i told him xmas gifts for my family and he just replied if i got something for him... thats it... though we paid P5,000 more or less in our domestic flight for excess baggage lol... better call ur airline coz i think they've change their max limit for the international flight... i left the states last nov 20 and i thought it was still 70lbs but to my surprised the lady told me i exceed 12lbs coz their max is 50lbs now... oh well...

On my first trip to PI, I went to GoodWill and loaded up on T-Shirts and other #######. I gave them out to people I meet.

I don't know what to buy really but I bought all different kinds of chocolates. Last time I took a bag of chocolates and those happily went very fast This time I got a few bags of different varieties and boxes of chocolates.

I give my old ####### to Goodwill, but never buy it back. Maybe you bought the old boxer shorts I threw out.

When my wife went back earlier this year she packed lightly on clothes. This allowed more room for gifts such as candy, cosmetics, games, etc.

when i went out in september I brought 4 suitcases with me including carry on .......I only came back with 1....lol.... I left the others there for her to pack when she is comming here......I brought everything from candy,spam,sardines, oysters,clothes,hats, perfumes,soap, lotions, and more ......honestly besides the clothes I got most of everything else at a couple of dollar stores...I spent about 100.00 and it filled up 2 large suit cases also got toys there for all the nieces and nephews ...... trust me it was well worth it!!!! also makeup for the sisters and aunts ...same thing go to different dollar stores and you can load uop and save alot!!!!

also all the clothes and hats I brought were old clotthes of mind pam wanted me to do that .....well i brought all my old uniform shirts with players that are on different teams now .......like vick,moss, favre ....and old shirts that either i didnt wear or were out of style and the brothers dad and uncles loved it .....I had a big hat collection and brought like 40 of them and they went quick also

i went last christmas...and bring as many as i can..but next time ill come back i think ill bring just chocolate and just send a balikbayan box with full of stuff 3 months before i arrived..that makes it more easiear for me considering that i will travel with my 2 kids...

I usually stop by Walmart and the $1 store before flying back home. You can get something for everyone on a tight budget.

Also Bodyshop has great sales on perfumes and lotions this time of the year.
