hi Im going to the philippines this wednesday,do i need to bring some docs to go and come back here?or just passport and birth certificate only?

Do you have a US Passport or PI Passport?

We left via a ship on a cruise and when we came back to USA my wife only needed her PI Passport and Driver License, but I think they let it slide cuz it's considered a closed loop.

My wife is in PI right now, she has her PI Passport and GreenCard to get back into USA.

green card, Driver's Licence (maybe), Passport. Why do you need your birthcert?

If your and American Citizen and you leave the USA, you can get back in with BC

Per American Airlines when my wife left for PI last week, she said the Immigration starting Jan 1, 2010 you will need to travel by you Passport name.

So the bring the Passport and marriage licenses trick is not going work anymore.

But I bet they will give few month before they start to enforce it.....

i only had a philippine passport and 10 years green card with me. I am not yet a US citizen.

yeah..yeah... whats on my mind!!!!i didn't meant to type bc-its green card actually..sorry
