Hi James & Erma, Now that you've been approved can you help me out? I too have a fiancee in the Phillipines and we are just starting with the paperwork. She is working on getting passports for herself and her daughter. Did you use an attourney at all? I know they are a lot of money but i hear that there is less chance for mistakes.

Thanks, Rich

Great news! Just remember when the Embassy mails her VISA with the sealed envelope in a plastic bag do not open the sealed envelope! You can open the plastic bag and remove her passport. Inside her passport will be the I-94 (VISA) stamped to a page in the passport. Double check the accuracy of everything. I hope you live where it doesn't snow! Arrival from the tropics to winter is quite a shock LOL.

Congratulations James,

My fiancee has an interview in Manila next week and someone there told her that she would need my original Birth Certificate (from the USA). I never saw that as a requirement only her Birth Certificate. Can you pls clarify for me since your fiancee has been through the process? Thanks!

David
