Palin will do with white people what Obama did with black people. Plenty of apathetic and disaffected (mostly downscale) voters exist in both categories and Obama managed to bring a lot them out with the latter.

Obama's an absolute idiot, all show and no traction. But, I wouldn't call him trash. Palin's not trash at all. She just scares liberals sillier than they usually are. For example, someone asked Martha Stewart a similar question about why she didn't like Sarah Palin. Her answer: "She speaks!"
