A positive TB test does not necessarily mean that you have tuberculosis. There are several factors that can produce a false-positive TB skin test (TST) reaction. It is not a rare case in the Philippines. You get a false positive when you are exposed to someone with infectious TB disease and/or a reaction from Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination if you had one when you were still a baby. That is why St. Lukes need further evaluation to make sure it is only a false-positive. Don't worry too much. It will just stress you out. I too had a false positive when I got here in US but everything went fine.

Thanks guys for the response... I got a message frm the nurse where i took my chest xray & it turns ok...they dont mention about the medication. Im just wondering how many filipinas/filipinos to suffer emotionally having a positive tb skin test, why can't the embassy also release our chest xray result(not the film) and included it on the visa packet. So when we look for a job & hired we can show it up. Not just the Immunization which in my case did not help at all. Just wondering...

they will include the x-ray result in the visa packet. it is not a film, it's on a cd now. only the US customs immigration can open that. x-ray film here is not necessary when you look for a job. it is not like in philippines where we carry our wide x-ray films in applying companies.

exactly, why can't they include the chest xray result not just the cd, the explanation that were clear, are lungs are normal. So no more filipino/filipinas will suffer emotionally having positive tb skin test.

By the way regarding with the xray film(which i have), the immigration dont bother to check it.
