Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'll give a quick history and then my question.

I am a US Citizen, I married my wife in the Philippines on April 20 of this year. Due to the municipality where we got married misspelling her middle name and screwing up a form number. We have had our marriage contract sent back and forth from the municipality to the NSO in Manila (4) times to be corrected and re corrected. Manila takes 1 month from the time they send anything until the time it is received at the Municipality. So here we are in December and I finally received a package from my wife containing her G-325a forms, our marriage contract, and her passport photos.

Now my question/possible problem....My wife signed our marriage contract, her (4) G-325a prints, and the back of her passport photos with her first and last name as it was before we were married, not with my last name.

As far as I know, the day we were married, her name changed to my last name. Be she signed with her family last name.

Will this be a problem? Will it be acceptable as is? Should she have sign with my(our) last name on our marriage contract at the day we were married?

Thanks

Mark

No, this will not be a problem. Your signature does not need to change when your name changes. A signature doesn't even have to be legible. It is simply your "mark".

Ray,

You just put 2 years back on my life.

Nice to hear from a neighbor from the north and a Phish fan.

Do you play?

Thanks

As in, do I play guitar? I wish. Guitars are usually only to be handled by talented people. I don't fall into that category.

Hope I have time to see Phish live again. It's been a little while. :(

There's always Mr. Blotto from Chicago. They're doing an all Dead show Christmas night.

Great band. I'm spoiled I can go see them pretty much any weekend for $8 to $10.

Hmm, I'll have to look into Mr. Blotto. I've heard of them but am not too familiar. I'm from Chicago so maybe I'll make it down there to check 'em out one of these days. As far as the dead is concerned, we have the Dark Star Orchestra make its way up to Madison often (also from Chicago!). Their recreations of historic Dead sets are eerily realistic.
