So, I am just about ready to submit my package and the only thing thats missing is the sponsor stuff.

My wife dosent meet the poverty guidelines by about $200, so her dad is willing to sponsor me however he works for the IRS and feels that he can be sued for support in the future, he is just a by the book type of guy. He claimed my wife as a dependent last year and he was inquring about the 864A, from what I was reading in the instructions he can supplement her income by some sponsoring her??? Its kinda confusing....has anyone here used this form and/or does anyone know how this form mite help or if it is just easier to find another sponsor.

Yes, he can combine income with her using the I-864A.
