In accordance with Georgia law, "The Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act," I am required to display the following in any and all languages that I may give immigration related advise:

'I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW AND MAY NOT GIVE LEGAL ADVICE OR ACCEPT FEES FOR LEGAL ADVICE.'

"NO SOY ABOGADO LICENCIADO PRACTICAR LEY Y NO PUEDO DOY ASESORAMIENTO JURÍDICO O ACEPTO LOS HONORARIOS PARA El ASESORAMIENTO JURÍDICO."

I love my strawberry stem remover from Pampered Chef.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Totally the Internet. I don't know how I'd do my job without it. Especially now that I have a one-person office. I don't know what I'd do without an Internet full of colleagues and reference materials. I might have chosen a different profession.

Of course my photography skills are much improved by digital cameras and photo software, and at my last job having a cell phone was a sanity-saver, but overall? Internet.

Artegal,

The transistor - without it none of the things in your list would exist. (Can you imagine an iPod made with vacuum tubes? What's a vacuum tube, I hear you ask .....)

Yodrak

What Technology or Gadget has been Cool or Useful?

Yodrak I didn't mean that far back--I was thinking from 1995 til today--just the past 10 years.

Not so fast--I voted for TiVo, because now my parents and other elderly people can record Matlock and Law and Order, and Oprah without having to call their children to reset the blinking 12:00 nor fetch a blank VHS tape or set up the time date and channel for programming. Thank god for TiVo. And the TiVo does read your mind sort of--it has an intuitive technology that after a while from your recording patterns it will start to record stuff for you just in case you wanted to see these similiar or related programs--its been pretty spot on for my parents preferences.

I wonder if the makers of Google and Yahoo or even MSN will one day make a TiVo for the Web. That is a device that will auto surf and down load cached pages to your Hard Drive for faster viewing etc. That seems to be the next logical step in Search Engines.
