Approved!

We were in and out of the embassy within two hours, very quick indeed! We got called in order to the first window but we were called for our interview before the two I-numbers 'in front' of us. Not sure why this happened but our interview took about 5 minutes, most of which was the guy sorting out his sleeves on his new shirt! Fingers crossed for a quick delivery!

Congrats to the other June 17th graduates!

Woohoo! Us too, approved today and VERY happy about it. Will write a full review at some point but right now I need sleep, been up since 5am.

Congrats to everyone else approved today, and good luck arwilson80, hopefully AP won't take too long.

Idiots. I had to argue with airline staff (on the now-defunct Silverjet) that Bruce only needed the customs form because he had a CR1 visa. They were certain he needed at least the green one, or possibly the white one. wacko.gif

K1 visa holders--you will need the white form I-94 that you fill out on the plane before landing, as well as the customs declaration form. They will give you the bottom half of the I-94 back when they process your entry or staple it inside your passport. It will have your 90 days noted on it and you will photocopy it as one of the things your submit with AOS.

I now actually have a question relating to this. Forgive me if I'm being dense.

I was digging about in my flight reservation for October today (having booked it, I suddenly remembered the LAST time I entered through Chicago with a visa and how bloody long it took, so wanted to check what my transfer time was...) and decided to upload my Advanced Passenger Info and get it over with.

First thing AA want to know is 'country of residence'. I may be being stupid, but should I put UK or US? At that moment in time my residence will be 'the plane' so just wanted to check ;)

I'd put UK as it's your place of residence at time of departure.

Hubby's opinion is that the interview experience was so easy, he's convinced that as long as he showed up, they were going to give him his visa.

Yes, the interview was very straightforward and easy and I was approved within minutes...four months later I'm still waiting for the visa to be issued. Never take anything for granted!

Odd, thedx still don't have mine to track yet, hopefully it's being sent out tonight for delivery to me tomorrow.
