Hi all, further to my last post, I received my visa yesterday which was the 3rd working day since my interview, so very quick. Great news as I can still fly out Monday as planned - can't wait to see hubby (L)

Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the advice

Stacey xx

This is what I want to hear. Visas in hand quickly. Congrats.

Congratulations on all the approvals this week and thanks for the great updates on the AOS. Definately not looking forward to that but at least I will have plenty of time to go through it all when i'm in the states and not working! My girls here are having a hen party for me tomorrow so wish me luck and I'll let you know how the POE goes, just not happy about paying extra money for an additional bag!

Have a great hen night! Contrary to popular belief, pink cowboy hats are not compulsory UK hen night attire!

Hey folks. It's been a while since I dropped in, but just wanted to say hey. Got my interview Thursday! Currently I'm 20% nervous and 80% excited - I'm sure that percentage will change as the week progresses but I'm just going to glug Rescue Remedy to keep it in check ;)

Congrats to all the recent approvals...hope I'll be joining you this week!!

Top left hand corner. There is invoice date, then under that there is Invoice Number. It's that one. It will then ask for your postcode.

Hi everybody! The courier delivered my fiance's visa and "do not open" brown envelope today. I was really quite excited, until I found out the "do not open" envelope got opened. Apparently, his passport was inside the envelope!!

I thought it would be OK if he tells the truth at POE - his passport was in there, and he didn't realize the envelope shouldn't be opened. But then I read a couple threads on VJ about having to get your envelope resealed by the embassy! Does anyone know what the case is for the UK?

Our naturalization timeline
1/12/2015 - Application sent to Phoenix service center by USPS priority mail

1/14/2015 - Package received in Phoenix

1/16/2015 - NOA date (hard copy received 1/22)

1/20/2015 - Check cashed

2/09/2015 - Biometrics

2/11/2015 - In line for interview

3/28/2015 - Hard copy interview notice received

4/29/2015 - Interview at Chicago field office - Approved!!!

Thank you, VisaJourney!!!!!

Contact the Embassy the MBE must be resealed. Turn up in the US with it open and you run the very high risk of being refused entry.

I just want to repeat the answer you already got--you must get the envelope resealed. They need to check the documents over and make sure nothing's been removed or added, so try to get this underway asap. It's a really big deal. Sorry that happened.
