I genuinely love that We Buy Any Car advert. Nothing gives me more energy than doing the "big fish, little fish, cardboard box" dance to that ad.

I love that advert. Who doesn't sing it when it comes on? lol Although never done the big fish little fish to it but I will today lol

Hi all,

had my interview on Friday and got approved so I am extremely happy about that. It was not nearly as scary as I expected although there was a bomb scare just before my number came up so we were all hearded into the only windowless room for about 20 minutes! I have my flight booked for a week on Monday (the 7th, BA strikes permitting!) which I thought would allow 5 working days for visa to arrive but I forgot about the bank holiday tomorrow  so not sure whether to take a chance and wait it out or rebook?!

I will put a full review of my interview in the relevant place.

Good luck to all of you still processing and a massive thank you to everyone that helped

It is not recommended to buy any plane tickets until you have the visa in hand...we waited 5 weeks after our interview to get ours even though we were approved...good luck!

James has gone down to London for his visa interview tomorrow! Despite it coming up a week earlier than originally planned, I'm confident he is really prepared, so hopefully we'll have an approval to report tomorrow.

I think his only concern besides general nerves was the fact that he only has an appointment letter starting June 8th, rather than his re-scheduled date of June 1st. Will let everyone knows how he deals with it if the security gives him any hassle!

I think I can get him to write up a pretty thorough interview review as well :star:

Good Luck for tomorrow Y&E and Sundrop

Sundrop are you taking your daughter to the interview? I didn't take mine.

Thank you :) Just remembered I need to translate my French and German police certificates, so doing that before going to sleep :)

And nope, it's half term for us right now, so she's at a mate's house for the night. But the fella's here and coming too, so that's great. I do think I'm gonna have a big glass of wine doing the translations, to help me get to sleep! I was borderline catatonic from the lack of uninterrupted sleep the night before the medical lol.

Emma, if you're still around and reading, say hi if you notice us - I'll be attempting to read "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night" or something to that effect and Ry will probably be immersed in some gaming mag :D
