I'm sure that I've read about this somewhere on this forum, but forgive me that I don't have time to look through 80+ pages. How long did it take for the auto-response to an email to come back to people who've emailed?

I sent an email this morning, but I had such a hard time understanding the lady on the phone (she having a strong Irish accent and me being deaf and struggling to understand anyone on the phone) that I'm not sure that I got the weekly code right and I haven't received the auto-response. I don't want to have to go though the pain of trying to understand one of their operators again!

From what I remember it was fairly quick, within an hour if I remember correctly. On both occasions ive emailed them they replied the following day.

Congratulations to all of you who have received approvals, My Visa arrived in the post yesterday. I kept looking at the tracking site to see when i would receive it and it suddenly appeared to say it was being delivered. It does says they will try and text you the day before but i didn't receive any notification.

My notice has now been handed in and i'm looking forward to the last few weeks of mayhem to sort everything out and try to arrange a wedding. Thank goodness for Vegas and the great packages they do.

75 days between DS3032 and interview date for us...due to RFE and stinking volcano...

But unlike that guy at the airport that they show all over the news, I don't blame Iceland...

So, still don't know if London received and read my email. Did anyone get a read receipt or acknowledgement of receipt when they emailed? I think I might try resending through my work email since that has automatic delivery notices.

I believe i got a reciept to say that they received it and they will reply in 'x' days.

...or unless you got an 'e-mail code' from the embassy you will get a 'e-mail deleted without being read' reply.

Sundrop - I did a typo and the date of my interview was the 9th, but now I've got an earlier date. You can put me down for the 2nd of June at 9.30am!

Hello All Vj members .................i was just reading the posts they are so amazing wow i am really happy to see lots of people are been approved OHHHH dats great!!! congralutions and good luck to all of u guys ...........my fiancee is coming from states on 4th june yaay me yahoooo and she will join with me at interview so i called the extortion line lol and they gave me a reference/subject to put in the email to acompany with ma finacee ............the email address is londoniv@state .gov and they replied next day saying she have to bring a photographic id or passport with her as identity and they put her on appointmnet list yaaaaayyy.......now a question is this does this will make any difference if she is standing next to me at interview????according to me it will be good if she is present i guess ........wat do u guy think????

Approved! Woo woo woo!

My appointment was at 8, was out by 9 o'clock. It actually took longer to sort the courier out than the actual interview. Also had a moment of absolute panic, the woman at the first window insisted she wouldn't need my fiance's dad's affidavit and didn't take it from me. Got to the interview window, asked me all the questions and then said "I've gone through all your documents, I'm going to issue the visa, but..." and then reached for a blue slip. Told me my fiance didn't earn enough for the poverty guidelines. I was like "NO NO NO! His dad is co-sponsoring! I have his papers here I HAVE IT I HAVE IT AAAAGH! The lady! She didn't take it! BUT I HAVE EEET!" The CO looked through it all and went "Oh that's good then, I'm approving it, I don't need any more documents".

Now just waiting for the courier to get on it and send my passport back. Eeeeeee!
