Hello Everyone :)

I'm pleased to say Claire and her daughter have been APPROVED!!

Claire called me at 4:30am to give me the news and there's NO way I can go back to sleep! Thank you all for your support, we could not have done it without this place and the great people that are a part of it.

A wonderful, yet stressful 3 years apart is about to come to a close and we can now look forward to being reunited and live out our remaining days together. Words cannot describe the feeling!

we just got our visa this morning (interview at 8) or will do in hopefully 3-5 days!!! :-)

neither letters of intent were needed, didnt need our joint sponsor either!

first lady took the forms and didn't say much. the 2nd person didnt ask anything... just in passing asked how long we had been together (answered 7 years) and he just made a joke of it taking 6 years to get engaged! that was about it!!! :-)

Hey FrostyMist! Dave's interview was at 10 a.m. and he didn't get out of there until after 2. I hope yours goes well. Are you bringing someone with you? I hope the embassy is easily accessible and that you do not have a long wait.

My interview is at 9, but I'm pretty much prepared to be there most of the day.

My step father is going to be coming with me to the interview, since I'll certainly need someone there to help me whilst I'm in the embassy. I've been told by a VJer here that knows someone who is disabled (and had their k1 interview a while back) that the embassy staff are very helpful towards disabled people. I think I'll be okay. Just busy stressing about sorting through the mountain of paperwork I have gathered here. I'm not exagerating when I say there are over 100 pages!! I don't think the embassy would be very pleased if I handed that lot to them!

10/9: Received Biometrics letter

10/29: Biometrics

10/31: In-line

2/16: Text from USCIS that Baltimore has scheduled an interview...finally!!

2/24: Interview letter received

3/24: Naturalization interview

Anyone know what the embassy does in cases of inclement weather? Craig is flying in from Belfast tomorrow evening for our Thursday interview, and we're worried that either the flight will be delayed/ cancelled, or that the embassy could close. Which would stink, since we've already purchased his airfare. I'm hoping that if by chance he's a bit late, they won't make him reschedule.

Also- with the embassy taking his passport at the interview, how does he go about traveling back to Belfast with no ID? Will the airlines accept his drivers license in place of his passport as identification?

January 2009: Michael & Leanne got engaged!

May 26, 2009: Filed I-129F!

November 20, 2009: Leanne's medical in London (she never received packet 3)

Februay 4, 2010: Michael attended interview with Leanne... APPROVED!!!!!!!!

Februay 12, 2010: Leanne received her visa in the mail :)

April 9, 2010: P.O.E.

Well #######! My fiance lives in Liverpool and goes for his interview on Thursday. Apparently Liverpool got a bunch of snow last night and the city is practically shut down. He called me a few minutes before 3pm his time (9am here) and he was getting ready to walk out the door to go to work. He texted me at 6pm his time and said he'd been stuck in gridlock traffic all this time. Apparently the city doesn't have any grit for the roads so all buses and trains were canceled for the rest of the day. Virgin trains are canceled until tomorrow afternoon...(he's using them to get to London) so hopefully they'll be open again by early Thursday morning! A snowstorm WOULD have to hit this week. Sure hope he can still make it, might just have to drive instead and be out the 70 pound train fare. Sorry, just needed to vent to people who understand the predicament! :unsure:
