Have you called for an update? It's the middle of the month and so it could be that your packet 4 is in the post as we speak. They seem to assign interviews in the middle of the month, for some reason.

Yep, my fiance is pretty much calling them everyday, but getting diffrent answers depending on who you talk to - some say they have our packet but not being processed, others say we're not eligible and some just say " er what does logged mean?". Im trying to stay optimistic but seeing people who've sent theirs in after us getting interview dates really does make your mind wonder what the heck is going on.

Here's a shocker...

Got our interview date today: 7 JULY!!!

Oh my god! Please tell me this is a joke!

Edit: I note you're applying for DCF... does that typically have a very long wait time? I feel so horrible for you... I hope it's a mistake and that we won't all be seeing a delay like that. I actually shook with fear when I read your post...

My interview is on March 4th for immigration to The States. (I can see that Cass Errol's already on the list - my Fiancee)

I was going half mad waiting for the letter, now it's here, I'm getting panicky. I'm so worried I'm going to stuff it up after waiting for so very long.

Those of you who have had your interviews, how was it?

It was a lot easier than we expected! The que for security flew by. We entered building and were assigned a number and told to take a seat near window #1. The woman working there called us over, looked over documents and found David's medical packet. We were told to take a seat again. We were called to another window down a short hallway. The interviewer was friendly and asked us questions we had already supplied the answers to in our packet. While we chatted she made some notes in file. She had him take an oath, a fingerprint and we were told about not opeing the packet and handing it in to POE agent. We were given a slip to pay the courier and told we were approved.

Here's a shocker...

Got our interview date today: 7 JULY!!!

That's a way aways! Gracious....

Please do complete your timeline, because it's helpful for others going through the same process as you. As someone asked, is this normal for DCFs through London and that's something that VJers who use the timelines as a guide to processing times could answer, except if the data isn't there!

Go to this page and under the 'Timeline Functions' opt to edit/add your entry.

Thank you :)

It's not normal at all. There is no measurable difference in how interview dates are assigned amongst any of the visa classes.

ohlpomr -- did you put down on your DS-2001 that you intended to leave in July or later? This may have something to do with it. If you want it moved up, there is a mechanism for doing this. (NB: I am recommending this ONLY because the gap is so egregious, and anyone else who is looking now at a March or April date is unlikely to get much joy.) This is one of the very, very few occasions I would recommend calling the extortion line: (09042) 450 100 (120p/min). Tell them you want the weekly email code, and if they ask explain that circumstances have changed in your availability for the date you have been assigned. When you get the code, email londonconsular@state.gov and ask that your date be moved to some time in March or April (or whenever). London are known for being accommodating if the circumstances are compelling. These circumstances seem to be pretty compelling to me.

Please, ohlpomr... if you can come back and tell us a few more details, we'd be very grateful. My fiance and I have been a bit freaked out... yours is the last data point we have, and we're anxiously waiting for that interview date... if there's any other details about your case we'd love to know that.

Sorry everyone, I thought I had set this thread to email me when there were new replies but I guess I didn't.

No I'm pretty sure this isn't normal for DCF, which is generally pretty fast (from reading threads here). On my DS-2001 I believe I put that we need a visa valid until August (i.e. 6 months from issue), they must have interpreted it as wanting to enter AFTER august, which isn't exactly right.

Thankfully we're both together here in London (thus DCF/CR1) unlike a lot of you folks, so its not heartbreaking, but it does mean we'll be stuck in London longer than we wanted to be, where the sun don't shine and the rainy damp gives you the blues.

The biggest reason I'm upset is because I think now we'll need to file 2009 taxes before going to the interview, and probably my I-864 co-sponsor will also have to mail me his 2009 taxes as well since it will be past April??? :(

I'm afraid if we call the extortion line I won't be able to come up with a reason why July 7 is "impossible" -- since we both are already together in the UK and have valid residence permits here..
