I misss him. I woke up today thinking he'd be right next to me like he was for 2 weeks, but alas, no. Ah, well. When my one sick baby (patient) wasn't acting up, I got to cuddle a super cute non-very-sick baby last night at work...and I thought out our future babies far in the future and getting maroon-colored passports for them. Haha!

Awwwwwww!!! I know what you mean. Whenever Phill and I get together then one of us has to leave, I always dread going to bed because it seems so darn lonely. We haven't seen each other since mid-September (which I know isn't as long as others) so April cannot come soon enough!! Glad to hear you're getting all your documents ready...you're one step closer!

We were just talking about this last night. How bizarre - and lovely! - it's going to be when the next time we see each other, we'll not feel like we're on borrowed time. He was joking about how I never let him stay up til silly o'clock playing video games and I said that I only had a problem with it so far, because the game will be there when I'm gone and he could stay up as long as he likes without wasting the precious time we have together.

And yup, there's nothing like cuddling babies! Especially very lil' ones. When my daughter was in the NICU, there was one nurse in particular who would always say "She's just the snuggliest baby. I have to stop myself from putting her in my pocket and taking her home!" lol. I miss being able to tuck her into my shirt while she slept, with just one hand supporting her backside and not ever get arm ache she was so teeny.

I'm really disheartened to see on Justine+David and errol's timelines that just receiving packet 4 is taking 2-3 months. I thought it was more like a week, based on the flowchart. I guess London is behind.

While within it, it seems like this process never ends.

Dont get discouraged....really Justine+David were not the norm. I think it's good to be realistic but I think she would agree that hers did seem to take longer than most peoples did.

I second what Beatlesrebel said...my interviewing officer told me that he hears a lot of stories about people meeting online...mine included, so you won't have to worry about that

With regards to your electrical items...you will have to store them somewhere as they will not allow you to take them into the embassy.

There are a couple of storage points, the most common being Goulds Pharmacy, which is literally 2 minutes away...you will have to pay for each item you store, but there is no way around it.

I actually called them up to make sure, I'm going to be storing my electrical items and my packpack there with Goulds.

I don't mind paying, I'd rather know my stuff's safe while I'm at the Embassy. How else could I do it? You have to get everything there somehow.

I called earlier today but the girls english wasn't great so on my lunch I called back and I got a very nice girl and she was laughing when I said it. I'm stoked! I have to book a ticket because I'll leave next Friday to be there for a few days before we actually have it....OMG!

Have you called for an update? It's the middle of the month and so it could be that your packet 4 is in the post as we speak. They seem to assign interviews in the middle of the month, for some reason.

I am packed and ready to go and want to fly as soon as possible after the interview. Anyone got an estimate on how long the visa takes to come through so I can start looking at flights?

Also, it's out of the question for me to accompany my fiancee on a short trip to Mexico a week or so after I arrive in the USA, right? One-time-only use visa and everything? Just wanted to check.

CONGRATS! I figured yours wouldnt be too far behind! I think from the sounds of it it takes about 7 business days if maybe not a tad longer to get the passport back. You are right about Mexico...you wouldnt be able to come here first and THEN go. But you could just go to Mexico before you did your US entry? I mean if it's only a week I would hold out and just meet him in Mexico and come back with him!
