Yes! We got our interview date!

Put us down for 2nd March at 9:00.

(FYI - Yes, DOS is still closed due to the snow. We found out via email from the embassy because we had some issues previously with it taking 8 weeks for the embassy to log in our packet from NVC so we were told to contact them if we hadn't received a date by 4 weeks after he posted his packet 3. This is likely not typical).

How insane to get your NOA2 after only 36 days WITH an RFE and then have to wait all that time... completely nuts! Glad you've got it now but you must have been thinking you'd have a 3 month ish journey start to finish when that NOA2 landed!

Yes, it was nuts! Getting the RFE was actually the easiest part in the end. It doesn't help with the stress when we had the wedding already planned for April and were waiting 8 weeks for London to enter our stuff in the system so he could send in packet 3. But it all works out in the end (or so it seems so far).

As a matter of curiousity, has anyone had their xray looked at when they went through poe? When I handed mine over with the MBE, I was handed it straight back and the lady in secondary said "oh I'm not bothered with that one you can keep it if you want"

I believe VJ collective experience has amounted to two, maybe three reports of x-ray inspection at POE. No UK filer has ever reported being asked.

In fact, my husband's xray remains in the UK, collecting dust in a closet in his Dad's house.

We got an interview date but it's not until 19th April (8:00). Ricky is estatic because we have the date and I was hoping for March. But really for not good reasons considering I don't want to leave until the end of July anyway! lol

Wonderful! Thankyou for that confirmation. I wasnt sure, so thought I should double check before I do. Knowing me, I would do something stupid to mess things up at this stage

Good luck with yours, everything will be fine. Seeing some of the people there at the embassy, so many are unprepared and not got the right stuff. So long as you have everything on the checklists, you will be fine. Good luck!!!

WHOOOOOOO!!!!

We dug out my (soon to be ours) car out of the snow in 32 inches after getting back from Seattle to DC only to be dumped with 10 more last night, decided to call David's home and ask if he had gotten an embassy letter because DOS still isn't open... and he did!!

March 10th!!!
