Hey, I'm waiting for my date also but I'm sure I'll have to move it as I want it after the 9th March (travelling prior to this). I've all but given up calling DOS as I can NEVER get to talk to anyone. Are you managing to actually speak to someone??

I ended up calling the extortion line to see if my packet was logged as I couldn't get through but I'm not even nearly that concerned about my interview date as I know that when I get the date i'm going to be a wreck leading up to it lol.

I call in the early morning, when it opens at 08:30am eastern standard time, which being in Seattle for the moment, means I'm up at 6am, lol, though I'm already up already to take my little sister to school. The Haiti message that they put in the beginning does its loop and then it automatically sends you to the regular loop where you press 1, then 0. It's annoying because you have to listen to the entire spiel without skipping it and sometimes they make you listen to it again right before getting to an operator...but then again, Haiti is Haiti. Pretty awful situation.

Still no interview scheduled for us either. Luckily, he seems to understand my obsession with calling DOS daily. Then again, I get an email every morning asking if I've heard yet, so I think he's just as obsessed as I am.

Hopefully we'll all hear soon!

I do know 2 others on here have interviews scheduled at the end of Feb. They are posted in another thread on this forum though.

I sent packet 3 back on january 25th and it was received and signed for on the 27th. But then this morning I got a letter dated 2nd Feb from the embassy, saying they haven't heard anything from me and do I still want to continue with my visa application?! I was really worried so called the expensive number only to be told by an operator that, due to a high backlog of applications, cases aren't showing up in the system for up to four weeks. So I'm not supposed to worry.

Just came on here to rant and see if anyone else has had the same thing happen. Still waiting on an interview date. We got stuck in AP at the NVC for three months so really hoping things don't keep dragging now they're in London. Oh, and my medical is on Tuesday!

Hello sundrop sir,

My interview was today, boy was it a grilling one. There is a major confusion of my packet 3, which has resulted in london not receiving any of my original documents. after aruging for an hr with the inital lady, i went for my interview. I signed my DS-230 part 2, gave oath, and signed miltery action form. My visa is approved pending they receive the following orginals:

police certificate

aos signed (both sponsor and co-sponsor)

and my birth certificate

I confirmed with him twice about my approve and he said, once you receive the files, call the embassy couirer and they will pick it up along with my passport and then return my passport with my visa, within a week.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Argh, I'm convinced the DOS folks have no clue sometimes...

Today I was told that David is now eligible for an interview! ...even though I was told many, many times that that was on December 17th after I sent the documents on December 2nd. Apparently they just "received" my documents on December 17th.

My guess is that the London USE just made a notation that they're going to assign David an interview date this week or next.

Anyone else calling DOS like I do??
