I'm so happy for everyone that's been approved.

We're still waiting for an interview date, it's only been a few weeks since I sent off my forms, but I'm so nervous already!

just to say that dan had a notice on his door on friday that the courier stopped by but no one was home, so they'll try again later. sounds like they were trying to deliver his VISA eeeeee yay! he's a bit grumpy because he specified for the courier to deliver before 10a and the courier was there sometime in the afternoon (when he was at work). but still! i'll post back when he has visa in hand and he's booked a ticket dan is also working on writing up his embassy review, which i'll post here.

Thanks guys It really hasn't sunk in yet. But I have until May until I fly out anyway, so there is plenty of time for that. I hope that the rest of us having interviews today can let us know soon!

I wasn't expecting the emotions that followed in the week after my visa was approved. Suddenly, I felt strangely out of my depth and overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done before I leave. My fiance is flying over to help me pack and everything, but it's still daunting!

Since my visa arrived today, we'll finally be able to think about travel dates. I'm caught between sometime during easter, or sometime in the first week of June. Easter seems too soon, and June seems too far. Bah!!

What kinds of stuff is he successfully shifting on ebay? I've been trying to save all my CDs to my laptop (which died today, just as I was fixing to get an external HD as a backup. argh!) but was thinking of taking them as a job lot with DVDs to the exchange store, if only to get shot of them.

The fishtank will probably go on ebay in the next couple days. Apart from that, I was thinking carboot sales (like yard sales, just with a group of other people in one place) and then an 'open house' sale listed in the local paper for larger ticket items like furniture and domestic appliances when we're about a week from moving.
