It's true - and, Marlea, it gets FASTER if you can believe it. I swear that I completely skipped September last year. One day it was August, the next it was time for Nik's POE on Oct 2nd! Has he bought his tickets yet? Do you know the day and hour? :)

Yeah, he bought his ticket yesterday and so it's finally all settled. He'll be here in 74 days, and yes, I already feel like this first half of October has disappeared without me knowing it. And it's only a month until Thanksgiving then another month until Christmas, both of which always seem to fly anyway, then he'll be here right before New Years... And on top of that, I picked up my wedding dress today (it's freakin' GORGEOUS. Honestly, I just want to live in it, it's so perfect) and so things are really starting to roll now. Squeeee!!!

Totally freaking out!In a week and 36 hours Julian will be at the Embassy. How am I supposed to deal with all of this worrying? I can't help but think we've forgotten anything. My I-134 is up to date (we are trying to self-sponsor, of course, but I gave him one just in case). Does he need to need to have an updated notarized letter of intent from me? He's complaining about how it has to be on a day after he has a major work/social event, and he'll be up late the night before. Last thing we need is for him to show up hungover!

Well, glad I can laugh about something here.

The letter of intent does not need to be updated unless your petition approval has expired, I doubt that your's has as you went through the process rather quickly.

Tell him he better be drinking orange juice at that event, you don't want anyone puking on the embassy officers in the morning, lol.

Good luck!

Yay! Dresses! I absolutely DO remember that part of September last year - visiting my dress at the seamstress'. On the day of the wedding, we realized we had forgotten the veil there!! OMFG! Good thing she was home on Sunday afternoon, and that was the only thing that went wrong! Phew!

So I just got off the phone with Julian and we went over all our materials again. I really wish I could be there next week, but I have already taken a lot of time off this year so far. :( Julian seems really confident that nothing will go wrong, but I'm starting to lose it again. He just doesn't seem to be taking this seriously enough! I mean, he has all the right documentation and it's all been filled in correctly, and he has a bunch of relationship evidence (photos, our bank accounts) to bring with him just in case, but I am worried he'll make a flippant remark and we'll have to go through AP. :crying:

They don't put you in AP as punishment for a flippant remark. They only put you in AP if they need to do any legitimate checks. Nothing that you or he could do would have an impact on that.

Hahaha! I love the way you phrased that, visiting your dress. But I completely understand. I will be getting married in my hometown which is two hours from where I live right now, and so I picked up my dress this weekend when I was visiting my parents. There was absolutely no reason for me to bring my dress the two hours back to my apartment with me, but I did anyway. And a few months from now, I will take it back home to get it altered. But my mom completely understood. She just asked that if I do put it on, that I don't eat anything while wearing it...

And yep, 72 days!!!!
