Thank God we got married on Friday and we want to apply for the necessary documents so he could get a job ASAP by the grace of God. I was reading the flowchart and was a bit confused.

I understand we can apply for a Temporary EAD while we apply for AOS but it expires after the 90 days, does this make sense? Do you think it is necessary, how long does it take?

We have already already applied for his SS# do we just wait for that to come first?

I just want to know pretty much what we do from here, I've already applied for my change of name, I dont know if that helps any. Please advise.... Thank as always

This is possible but makes no sense in your case - it would be a waste of money and time in my opinion.

You do not need to wait for your social security card (or number) in order to file AOS (and/or EAD). You will need the ss card when you eventually find an employer.

From here - you're on Step 19 on the K-1 Flowchart (which you've already seen). Follow the steps there and the details can be found HERE.

You next step should be to file AOS and EAD as soon as possible - the fee for EAD is waived when filing with (or after) the AOS/I-485 (it is part of the $1010 AOS fee, in other words) and once received (which takes anywhere from 30-90 days) will be valid for one year which should be plenty of time to get your PR/Green Card. That is the path I'd recommend.

Congratulations on the marriage..
