I agree on calling/emailing them directly. How good is your fiance's English? Is it possible that maybe he didn't entirely understand the interview's outcome? Strange for him not to have received a 221g.

Do you have a congressman lined up to intervene on your behalf if necessary?

Jenn poses a very valid question. How proficient is Mouaud? Did he understand all the questions? Did he respond accurately? How come you didn't go for the interview? You must have known it would be a tough one. And you were planning on moving there, weren't you?

It sounds to me like she could be testing him. Just call everyday, email everyday and do not stop. Casa only has phone hours from 3 to 4 pm their time so keep that in mind when you call.

Even then, they rarely answer. I email them constantly and they reply very quickly. Then again I have had a senator contact them multiple times. Also, do as stated above, call the State Department and ask what is going on with your case.

It seems to me however, that they did not exactly deny him because they would give him a piece of paper stating so.

Hang in there, and I know its impossible, but just try to relax a little until you get some news.

Remember, this is their job. It is their job to be rough and flush out the frauds.

So just be persistent and I'm sure they will see that you evidence is looked at and you case is considered appropriately.

Until then, EMAIL EVERYDAY!!!

Good luck to you.

Call DOS now. They have the info in their system from the interview as it is all done electronically.

I asked them if there is any way that they could look it up and they said no.. The questions were like this:

Where was I born? And how long did I live there before moved

Questions about my daughter

About meeting him in a chat room

Why didnt I finish high school

What did I do after I quit high shool

Asked about previous employment history

Stated: Our "paperwork is too organized... and soo appears to be fake."

I wish I would have called Casablanca this morning but had a migrain all night so I guess I'll try to call tomorow.

I'll wager if you called back and spoke to someone else, you'd get a different answer.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Okay, we were denied. They certainly never told us that they would call us. So you do need to contact them and find out what is going on. I am not yet convinced it was a denial. Perhaps just a lot of intimidation going on to see if they could break him.

The DOS doesn't have anything this quickly, so you would still need to contact the consulate.

It isn't always easy to call them, so you should send them an email. Make sure to reference your number in your Subject line and include his name and birthdate. Keep the email nice, professional, and short. Do not assume that it was denied or returned, just ask nicely what is the status and mention that he didn't receive anything to explain what to expect next.

If by chance he is mistaken, and he did receive a paper, it would be a 221g stating that they could not issue the visa. The wording is scary, but you have to read the notes to see what the reasons were. It could be as simple as AP. But I think it would be wise to contact your states representative and ask if they could assist you to find out what is going on with your case.

I just talked to DOS and they said I have to call emabssy that its out of theyre hands now.

Ummmm weird. DOS always has something to say about cases, they know the interviews results right away!!!

Anyway email the consulate ask why he didnt get any paper/form... weird too!!!

Casablanca consulate agents are always rough with K1 visas... my advice.... you love him? go to morocco, marry him and apply K3/CR1 (they find it hard to deny)

best luck

Bolded above is bad advice. First find out what is going on with this one before you do anything. I would hate to see you start the entire process again just to find out it was only AP.

And it isn't true that they find it hard to deny the K3/CR1 visas. The difference is that the I-30 doesn't expire, so if it is denied and sent back to the USCIS then it could sit a year or longer before the review it again. Ours was the CR1 and they didn't have a hard time denying it.

Don't do anything without thinking things through. Get all of the facts before you proceed. If it is indeed a denial there is a thread dedicated specifically for returned petitions that can assist you through the process. But why go there until you know for sure.

Karima i'm so sorry to hear that your fiance had a bad experience. First let me say that my fiance at the time had a bad experience. Our paper was well organized and we had tons of proof, but yet our K1 visa was sent back to the States. I was crushed and devistated. They also tried to accuse our relationship as being fake. They question how could I afford to visit him 2x during the Summer of 2007. They called him in there for 3 interviews, and on the third one January 27, 2008 they told him they were sending our papers back to the USCIS. I was so shocked because I had gone to Morocco 4x to visit my fiance before he even had his interview. When my fiance at the time asked the blond hair CO why was she sending our paper back her response was"It will help you for nothing". So I went to Morocco and married him in February 2009. Filed my CR1 papers March 2009. It took less then 30days for USCIS to approve our paperwork. But understand this, I sent in a rebuttle letter to what happen at my fiance interview, and the things that I disagreed with. Also I complained about the CO not asking my fiance at the time for any additional proof. I sent in my complainst to the DOS and pointed out cases where they infact show favortism towards Moroccan females over the males applying for visa's. You need to do research on this site and you will see plenty of the Moroccan females that male fiance that applied for K1 visa's get approved the same day as if they were applying for K1 visa's. That is pure descrimination, and that should not be happening. You need to bring it to their attention. I want to add that I also sent in additional proof such as "Bank Statements, showing the withdrawls that i did while in Morocco, and the receipt of me paying for my own plane tickets. All this was sent in with my CR1 Packet, and It's sad that the CO never asked my fiance at the time for any additional proof. So when you write the Embassy ask them do they want any additonal proof and that you will be more then happy to supply them with it. Also write a letter and explain why you dropped out of High School and what you have done with you life since then. Don't leave any room for them to send your paper work back to USCIS. Whenever you write to the Embassy cc their boss DOS. You are in a fight to get your beloved here with you. Keep it in mind that you do have another option if they send your paperwork back to USCIS you can always go and get married and apply for CR1. I know some people will tell you that you need to wait and find out why they sent your paperwork back. But I didn't and I am happy to say that 4mos after applying for the CR1 my husband got his visa. You can read my time line. Many blessings and stay encouraged all will be ok.

I'm so sorry!

With regards to calling the consulate...I seem to remember before Omar and I got married that I had a difficult time calling from here and getting anyone to answer, as someone else posted. But when I was in Morocco and used the local number I got through every time to very friendly people who were very nice and answered all of my questions. I did have to be transferred a few times but eventually I got to the right person to talk to. If you use a calling card I bet you can call that one. I will try to see if I can find the number on the embassy's website and if not I'll be talking to Omar on Thursday and will ask him if it's still in his phone. Hopefully I can find it or someone else here has it.

Hang in there and ((((((hugs!)))))))

I have been reading the replies and I appologize for not writing back sooner. I have been in bed sick all day with migraine. I kept waking up and thinking that im dreaming this. I dont know what to do, Im just really in shock over this. Even though I read all the advice it all looks foreign to me. If I called a congressman or senator what would I say? I did email embassy to find out the status of our case though. And I wrote them a email explaining that we were not fake, etc etc etc... I imagine I wont hear anything for a couple of days. I called the embassy at 4:30 there time but they were already closed. But tomorrow when Im not in numb mode, I will read all this again and figure out what to do next.... thanks....

Many times the liason in the congressman's office can get info that they won't give directly to the beneficiary or petitioner.

Check out the website for your representative. There is usually a link for the immigration division where you can find the contact info. Usually you have to sign a release form for them to access information about your immigration case. Give them a call and tell them what's going on.

I called the embassy today and they told me that the officer was reviewing the information and he is just in AP and they would contact him. And at the same time I was talking to them on phone I received this email:

Dear Madam,

Thank you for your email inquiry. Your fiancé’s case requires additional administrative processing. We will notify him as soon as the processing is complete.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

But even though they say AP still doesnt sound good by the way the interview went. I wonder if anyone else has had crappy interviews like this and still gotten approved.
