I like how the camera operator was riding up the escalator but by the time she reached the top.... it was broken. Everyone else had to walk up. That was what? Five minutes of operation?

I doubt they were giving away anything for free. Maybe a discount here or there but for the most part, Muscovites LOVE new, fashionable opportunities to waste their money like the rest of the world.

I didn't think it was broken. More like they turned it off.

There are a lot of things like that in Moscow - turned off - never to come on again.

Yes, the crowd was not backing up enough in the lobby! Did you notice then they only used the right side, and did not allow people on the left side. If you listen, you can here some people screaming, as if being squished like a sardine in the crowd.
