Hi guys!

I got an appointment for my visa interview and I have some questions regarding this.

Question 1:

My appointment in the US consulate in Frankfurt is at 9:30 am and on the letter it says that my medical appointment is on 7:30 am the same day. I am worried that the medical takes longer and I will not make it on time to the visa interview appointment. Can I just go a day before to the doctors or will he not take me in, because my invitation is for another day?

Question 2:

My fiancees dad will be my co-sponsor. He got his U.S. citizenship through naturalization. I have to write down his naturalization number for question 1 on the I-134 form.

In some forums I was reading that I also have to provide a copy of his "Certificate of naturalization".

But is it even allowed to make a photocopy of the „Certificate of naturalization”? On the left bottom corner it is mentioned that “It is punishable by U.S. law to copy, print or photograph this certificate."

Question 3:

For the visa interview I have to bring a lot of papers like: police certificate, certified copy of birth certificate, I-134 form etc.

Do I have to make a copy of the whole package and bring it to the interview or do I just turn in each paper once?

thanks for your help

Hi! My husband said he got the same thing on his letter. You can wait and have your medical done that day if you like, but we'd recommend having it done before, so that there is no delay in issuing your VISA.

There is a list that shows what doctors can do your medical exam on the following web-page.

http://german.germany.usembassy.gov/medizi...tersuchung.html

My husband said he would recommend making a copy, because otherwise, they are going to keep your original documents. If you just copy everything, you'll get your originals back. Be sure to take your copies before hand, because they are very expensive at the Consulate. This is the same for passport photos, get them done ahead of time!

You will receive an envelope the morning of the interview that you'll have to put postage on so that they can mail you back your VISA. My husband said that the morning of his interview, the postage machine wasn't working, so it may be a good idea to print the proper postage with you.

Thanks,

Nicole

Hi,

My appointment and medical has also the same date... but here in Philippines, we need to have our medical exam, 7 days before the interview date, medical here in philippines is done in 2 days. and St lukes (accredited hospital of US embassy) is the one who will submit the result to embassy.

My conclusion is, you can have your medical right after you receive your interview, the date in your appointment letter is just a referrence that you need to finish your medical before your interview.

Well, that's just my conclusion.. thanks.

You can go couple of days before your interview to the medical exam. Make sure you got all necessary vaccinations

Question 2:

My fiancees dad will be my co-sponsor. He got his U.S. citizenship through naturalization. I have to write down his naturalization number for question 1 on the I-134 form.

In some forums I was reading that I also have to provide a copy of his "Certificate of naturalization".

That I cant answer you. I know that I had a copy of my fiance's naturalization certificate BUT I wasnt asked for it even

Question 3:

For the visa interview I have to bring a lot of papers like: police certificate, certified copy of birth certificate, I-134 form etc.

Do I have to make a copy of the whole package and bring it to the interview or do I just turn in each paper once?

Have copies just in case. I had to sets of documents (originals & copies). They like well organized stack of documents. They took only originals though.... you may need the copies at POE when entering the US

thanks for your help

Hi,

yeah you can do the medical before, that doesnt matter cause they'll send it to the embassy anyways..

I was there Monday. You just walk in, fill out a sheet, give blood etc.. It took around 40 min.

It takes about 15 min from the Embassy to the Doctors office.

Yeah you need the original documents + one copy..bring 4.25 Euros Stamps

They were all really nice in Frankfurt

Good luck
